Why is Cassiopeia rarely played?

I rarely ever see Cassiopeia in any of my matches so I decided to try her out and went 16/6 on my first game... From what I can tell she counters tanks, and anyone with dashes (I can't think of an exception). So, what is the main reason I don't see anyone playing her? I heard she is hard to play but I found her surprisingly easy.

Of course I had no idea how to use her w and ended up looking like an idiot every time I shot it backwards when the enemy engaged on me, but the main part of her damage is fairly simple. Land a q, spam e until they either use a mobility spells/summoner spells to get out of range, or use a cc ability to stop you from chasing them/kiting.. Use your ult and w when necessary.

She can melt tanks by kiting them, she can delete adcs by landing one good ultimate and spamming q and e. The only real weaknesses I found she has is assassins that can all-in her, she is immobile so vulnerable to ganks, or Galio.

This isn't a rant about how Cass is op. I just want someone to explain why in bronze/silver I don't see anyone playing her often even though she seems so strong. What is her main weakness?

Cassiopeia has some of the highest potential DPS in the entire game and can easily carry games if you let her. She scales extremely well and is one of the few mages that can deal with lategame tanks. However, she does have a couple easily exploitable weaknesses. She's super immobile, making her very easily punished for bad positioning. The second is her range. Twin Fang is an incredible bullying tool, but the problem is that it has a generally short range and much like Ryze, she has to run at you, making her pattern predictable. Her Marksmanship-like damage style also means she has to live for a while to be able to contribute meaningful damage. Lots of champions can punish this. Viktor can throw down a Gravity Field to shut down her advance or threaten to one-shot her the moment she gets in range. Orianna can zone and punish bad positioning with her Ball. Syndra can land easy E's on an aggressive Cassiopeia and then there's always follow-up kill pressure. She can also simply be out ranged and poked down by the likes of Lux or all-inned by the likes of Fizz, Zed, or Diana.

TL;DR: Cassiopeia is a really strong, fun, unique champion with high carry potential if you don't exploit her weaknesses (which oftentimes, teams don't.)

She is literally too hard for alot of people to play imo you won't see her come up in games until Plat and higher. And she is really susceptible to ganking early on. If you put her down early she is useless late game and has no escapes so if she gets caught and she is behind she is dead. No escapes combined with low early game mobility and her w is good at stopping some gangs but people with raged cc nunu or olaf it's the easiest ganking evar
