With this ONE WEIRD TRICK you can avoid taking Thornmail damage as Yasuo!

Your Q only applies on-hit effects to the first enemy hit. This includes Thornmail.

When using your Q, try to position yourself so there is a minion between you, and the enemy that has Thornmail (This also works against an enemy Rammus).

As long as there is a minion between you and the enemy, you will take no damage from the Thornmail. This also works if there is an enemy champion, or jungle monster between you, and the Thornmail user.

If you are playing against a Yasuo and want to counter this strategy, just make sure you are at the front of the fight so the Thornmail takes full effect. If you are hiding behind your minions, or allied champions, the Yasuo won't take any damage, and Grievous Wounds won't be applied.

Some more tips for Yasuo

• When playing against a Rammus, always buy Mercury Treads (There are very few exceptions)

• When you knock an enemy up, always auto attack before you ult if you are in close enough range

• Your passive may not block minion damage and turret hits, but if you can get an enemy champion to activate your shield quickly before you take minion/turret damage, your shield will negate the damage

• If you are against someone with a strong laning phase against you, such as Renekton, Malzahar, or Garen, consider starting off with a
