Duskblade
So if we look at the stats you have 18 lethality, 99% slow, Vision Denial, 30-200 Burst Damage, & it costs 2900.
That is a sweepers Lense, A Armor Penetration Item, A Crowd Control Item (best comparison would be botrk), ThunderLords on Item, & this thing costs less than Trinity Force.
Now that item is already a problem but imagine giving that item more lethality with only nerfing it's early game? Oh wait. . . https://imgur.com/a/JamR03O You did nerf the free Thunderlords it has but if you really expect that to make up for the extra dmg it has late(less armor + more dmg from other items) you're wrong. You aren't just buying a Duskblade you are also buying multiple items, like Yomuu's Black Cleaver, & other such things. This is a buff with how I see it.
I addressed the nerfs now I really want to address the already underlying problems. It gives. to. much. Vision Denial The counterplay to assassins is knowing where they are, but I can't know where they are with the free sweeper lense. Since it has a free sweeper lense they get to keep their warding totem and ward out the jungle and wait for me to rotate. That means they have free control over vision, meaning that pyke support doesn't sound so bad.
Damage Passive Now this item's passive with the actual Electrocute, & your lethality can equate to lots of damage. I mean lots. Item will be a little weaker early game but not even close to the amount of stuff it needs removed than is being removed.
Here is the math i did to check if it was a nerf/buff ( i actually thought they buffed lethality early >.< algebra dashfjkds) BUCKLE UP
Electrocute
30-180 (+0.4 AD, +0.25 AP)
DuskBlade 30-200 Physcal
Lethality 0.4X + [(0.6X * Y)/18] X being your lethality Y being your level 0.6 * 18 = 10.8 * 10 (level) / 18 (answer is 10) 0.4*18(7.2 + 10 = 17.2 (How much armor is reduced)
Future Nerfs 0.4X + [(0.6X * Y)/18] 0.6 * 21 = 12.6 * 10 (level) / 18 (answer is 7) 0.4 * 21(8.4) + 7 = 15.4 (how much armor is reduced)
I will use zed as an example and scale it up for you guys. Don't worry about math, I will also lay that down 4 you to look at also. Scenario He is level 10, has a complete Duskblade. here is his damage Scenario2 He is level 10, has a complete Duskblade and and another Serrated Dirk For Scenaro one Zed has 89.3 AD base + 55 AD From Duskblade & 18(21) Lethality Now I will only be having zed land one Q this fight. (Just for reality sakes) and he will get one auto in with a E. This will all be done to a Syndra. 144.3 AD Q at level 5 (220+ 90% AD) E at level 3 (120 + 80% AD) Ult at level 1 (100% AD + 25% Damage Dealt)
Syndra Defensive Stats + Seeker's Armguard maxed out 45 ARMOR(level 10 stats) 51 Base Armor + 45 ARMOR (96) 1219 Health
Now here is the math (I honestly love math):
so let's do the reduction first for the armor first 45 - 17(Lethality) = 28 ARMOR + 51 = 79 ARMOR
The formula for armor reduction and health effectivness https://imgur.com/a/BLLhNw2 100/100+79(Armor) = 0.558 (flip it) Damage Reduction is 0.442 (42%)
Easier way to see it which a possible calculation to show is your health on syndra is really 2182 (1219 * 1.79)
Now from here we start doing the abilities zed has casted: Q Deals 220 + 129.87(144.3 * .9) E Deals 120 + 115.44(144.3 * .8) R Deals 144.3+25% damage dealt One Auto is 144.3 (Duskblade(120 AD), Electrocute(88 + 57.72(144.3*0.4))
(btw im ignoring zeds ult passive with 50% lower hp take % health) Q 349.87 E 235.44 Auto 144.3 Electrocute & Duskblade 265.72 R 144.3+248.8325(25%) Total Damage = 1388.4625 Syndra Real Health 2182 - 1388.46 = 793.54 Health Real left over (443 real hp left)
Scenario 2 Damage ZED 144.3 + 25 = 169.3 (serrated Dirk) Base AD (Look up for base of ability) (Also skipping the end things, u can double-check yourself) Q 152.37 (372.37) E 135.44(255.44) R 169.3 (268.2) Electrocute 155.72 Duskblade 120 AutoAttack 169.3 Total Damage = 1,510.33
More Lethality Means less armor btw TeeHee 0.4X + [(0.6X * Y)/18] 0.4 * 28 + [(0.6(28) * 10/18] 11.2 + 9.3 = 20.5 (if rounding that's 21. I dunno if league rounds like normal) 51 + 45 = 96 45 - 21 = 24 Armor 51 + 24 = 75 reduction is 100/174 = 0.574 flip 0.436 Real Health is 2126.06
THAT MEANS 2126.06 - 1510.33 = 616 (health in-game is 354)
ALL IN ALL This just means that zed can basically one shot for 2900-4000 Gold, and that is with syndra building properly. Syndra has to trade damage for defense meaning she does less in teamfights while zed will still be useless. I'd like to remind everyone this is with zed making mistakes. I gave scenarios where he misses 2nd shurken and doesn't wait to auto attack.
I'm simply showing you the damage dealt while building defensively(if u are wondering how to survive even longer finish zhonya's and buy ninja's) I would also like to note that syndra cannot kill zed for she traded damage for defense, and RIOT the answer is not to buff zhonya's.
Vision So assassin's are assassins, not the support, & no matter how much you try to change it they will still be assassins, so what happens when assassins can do the supports job? They will naturally be stronger than usual. Assassins Now-a-days can deny vision, & acquire it, in simpler terms They can get picks easier. I do not believe it's right to get such a strong 1v1 class the ability to also control vision. That's basically all there is to the vision portion.
Slow You gave an assassin a 99% slow. enough said xD
COST So the cost is cheap for stats. Now that being said the answer is not to nerf the cost(make it go up) for doing that will put them in the same state as adcs. If you want it to be what it's worth then it must be of similar value. It is really simple honestly.
How to fix DuskBlade/Solutions So there is honestly 2 solutions. One being simple and one being complex:
First option is to _ delete _ it. Now I do not agree with deleting items. It removes diversity. By deleting duskblade this item is not there anymore and u have less options and it makes the player feel more limited which is never a good thing. The benefits of removing the problem is that it's gone now. It's like amputating your arm cause it's infected. Sure it will solve your problem, but that is your arm man, do you really want to get rid of it?
SECOND option is to remove stats/rework it. What you are able to do is remove the vision it denies and honestly most people can actually play around assassin's and this will promote teamwork. Supports de-ward and ward, and assassins go assassinate. Also simply raising the price just a little bit(NOT BY 1000 GOLD like IE) should actually fix it quite a bit with the removal of vision. This is my opinion btw. leave your solutions down below.
Excuses?? Now an excuse I will hear from everyone is "wait till season 9." Why?? That's like telling a boy with Cellulitis in his legs to wait 3 months for them to treat the infection, but for now he can watch other people walk around and use their legs.
