Dravens mechanic is both fun and annoying. Have questions need answers.

I have been practicing Draven cause I want a main for each role. Aside from Lucian with maxed E and 40% CDR Draven is the only ADC I find enjoyable to play from the majority in the game that I have tried out. I did a couple bot games and decided I needed to use the practice tool, after three days of practicing 2 hours each I have noticed some annoying things.

First being the tolerance on his axe catch. When you get enough attack speed and you utilize his movement speed you can straight up throw the axe, move to decide its landing location, throw the next axe while being on it, then move to decide its landing location, and not catch the first axe cause you are faster then the axes return speed. This means when you get to the axes landing location you need to not attack for a moment if you want to be able to decide the next axes landing location. This is where I deduced you want use his third axe while moving to the next axe, which is hard in itself but it seems to be beyond me how I am supposed to change the direction I am moving without losing the third axe.

Is this impossible or do I just need to figure it out? I don't want to spend more time practicing trying to do something that cant be done if this is the case.

The second annoying thing is I noticed at full build that the dps was about the same only autoing vs using Q on the dummy. I deduced this was so because you either need to control the axe landing location(which gives really bad dps) or the rng of just throwing them out and going to their locations to catch them forces you to stop autoing making the increased dmg pointless. I even did three axes while abusing attack move click to make it easy to minimize the delay. None the less it was about the same Dps and if I was really unlucky it would even be lower.

Is this how its supposed to be and if so why? If not I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. I must be doing something wrong as wouldn't only autoing flat out be superior at that stage of the game? Q would be such a useless ability if this was the case.

Axes will always do more damage than normal aas, its better to not aa to catch an axe and then w to get another empowered aa than just auto attack. Draven takes a lot of practice so unless ur gonna play him a ton find another main.
