Quick question: Azir and on hit effects + Morellonomicon question

I read (somewhere I forgot, either in youtube or reddit and probably a troll) that Azir's soldiers now proc Nashors (this was around the time where Azir got the devourer buff) I can't really test it since both his soldier and nashor do AP dmg Also most of the threads i search up about Azir and nashor is back around his release in 2014

And lastly, how good is morello on Azir? I remembered before his nerf morello was the go-to power spike first item that Azirs build or something It got taken out of Azir's recommended items and Nashors Tooth became an essential item so is Morello not viable? And does the inclusion of Nashor's tooth in Azir's essential item = his soldiers proc it?

Sorry, haven't played Azir in a while and I've been recently picking him back up

Azir's soldiers count as spells, so their attacks proc spell effects: Luden's Echo, Rylai's, Morellonomikon. I haven't heard of changes that would allow to proc Nashor's; it's just that he doesn't get attackspeed from CDR anymore, making Nashor's tooth the better option for damage output. Also most mages got better mana with the patch that removed mana potions.

as far as i know azir's soldiers proc nashors morello was a good starting item on azir because you needed cdr more than anything, and the mana regen helped him in lane. they changed him so that cdr no longer gives attack speed, and it changed his playstyle a bit, so now you go nashors first, usually into rylais, and you basically become an auto attack champ instead of a caster basically, no, i would probably not build morello on azir at this point, since he's not as mana dependent now, and nashors is a more efficient item on him nowadays for cdr (same as morello) + combat effectiveness (attackspeed super important now)

He does not proc Nashor, however he scales great with AS, AP and CDR. Morello is actually fine, I usually build Nashor+Morello for 45% CDR and nice AS and AP, then finishing it with Rylai and Rabadon

azirs soldiers, even tho able to hit wards, strangely dont count as auto attacks. jax doesnt block them, pantheon doesnt block them and they dont apply on-hit effects like redbuff and such.
