Honestly how do you play Riven?

After awhile I decide to play Riven and end up with feeding score and my enemy laner:

last game Tahm Kench just ran at me and murdered me with autoattacks
lategame he stacked his passive - than stunned me and before the stun was gone I died
under turret
yes I stunned him with W and shielded his damage with E but already was fed
I might be bad but I do really feel myself useless everytime I play Riven
if I play agressive or passive or both or trades... nothing works for me apparently

Don't fight a tahm kench as riven, riven sucks vs tanks and fighting the tankiest champ in the game head on is not in your best of interest
Riven relies on snowballing, literally if your behind she's more useless then ap zed
Animation cancel
Use your CC creatively, If he's diving you, just stun lock him, and dash away

Riven is a bad designed champ, you must focus on AA animation cancel or shiit like this which is stupid because it's a "bug" that shouldn't be present but who is keep because the champ would be useless without this.

I'm just waiting for the removing of this mecanic and give her more power. A bug is a bug, even if it's goes well with the champ.

But if you want to play her like a god, you must learn this AA animation cancel first.

It's was a bug, but after the success of this bug, they called it "intended mechanic" which is stupid because why a champ should have canceling AA animation and not others ?

The truth is that she is reliant on her passive, but if she didn't have this "auto canceling mecanic", this passive would be useless because she is always dashing and pressing spells so the animation must be cancelled to keep this passive working.

And she could be finaly be balanced, since Ronny from Iron 4 doesn't need to learn this shitty mechanic.

That's because it's near impossible to 1v1 Tahm as a melee champion ( that's for most of melee champions , not all )
