I have seen The Rise of the Yi. Or more accurately, the Fed Yi. No matter what, I see all my teammates dead in a matter of 1-3 seconds (depending on stasis/invuln status). Last match he has turret dived the entire team, killed all of us, and walked out without us hitting him and tower barely pumping 2 shots. Granted he was Level 12, and we were 10/11. But still, thats a big deal imo. Is there a strategy I can employ? Or do I just have to curl into a fearful position in fear of the Yi?

Champs like Kayle, Lulu and Zilean can deny him the first kill that he needs to start reseting. Champs like Ryze, Annie and Lissandra with instantaneous hard cc can lock him in one place to be exploded, and their abilities can't be dodged by Alpha Strike. More generally, Frozen Heart is an excellent buy against all champions that scale primarily with attack speed, Yi included.

Yi's also a relatively passive jungler early in the game, so you can get away with a lot of ganks/aggressive play in lane that you normally couldn't. So, use that to your advantage. If he's in lane, just camp the shit out of him and abuse his lack of defensive mobility.

I'll give the advice I've given my friend when confronted by yi. Build a thornmail, he will start hurting himself for more damage than he heals off of lifesteal
