So i guess people are gonna crucify me for saying this but I like it on TT

Why? Because is a super fast paced game mode. Its fun, its fast paced, and for as often as people say there are OP champions I feel like I can play any jungler in TT and then charge into the lane. I try not to repeat any champion every time hexakill comes up because I like to see who works and who doesn't and for the most part I have enjoyed every game of hexakill I have played.

The size forces constant ganks/team fights/ roaming around, the lack of wards makes for interesting death bushes but also the risk of walking into a bush, meanwhile rewarding you for good intuition with the trinket they give you.

the altars reward you a ton but are not over bearing for having both. It is a perfect place to have a 6 person game mode that isn't supposed to be permanent. On SR it would be slower and not quite as fun in my opinion. I have split pushed, ive wombo-comboed, ive forced split team fights, and faked split team fights to catch the other team out. There is so much to do, but I agree with Riot on keeping it on TT.

In my opinion it's better in TT because it's double the normal amount of champions in the game as opposed to just one more

the reason for moving it to treeline is to make a 6v6 team fight have a higher change of actually happening. Meaning there is a higher chance of a hexakill happening.

TT is toxic for hexakill. the mode is so unbalanced, all you need to do is pick skill shot champs and you will win since the map is so dense. lux is stupid in this mode.

Why not both?

Jeddite6/12/2016, 3:43:06 AM3 votes

Hexakill: Summoner's Rift was dull. It was just Summoner's Rift with double jungle, double top, or double mid. There was no assortment of zany Hexametas, it was just Summoner's Rift With One Extra Champion Per Side. Tres Excitement++!

GaleWinUnleashed6/12/2016, 4:18:37 AM3 votes

Please no. Hexakill on Summoner's Rift got boring incredibly fast. It's not different enough from regular ol' Normals to stay fun and chaotic for an entire weekend without falling into the exact same meta that's currently in Normal games. And aren't we playing the featured game modes to take a break from the normal?

Doubling the number of champions on the map changes the dynamic enormously. There's so many champs in such close quarters that a teamfight involving 6+ champions is always a misstep away.

Why not both?

Like, each time it comes up in the rotation, have it trade maps. There are a few modes where this type of "mixing it up" could be nice, such as all-for-one, nemesis draft, etc.

This game mode doesn't work too well on TT. Because of how small the map is, it leaves little room to avoid wombo combo/CC heavy teams. It's so easy to catch someone out with a tank and bam they just lost the fight. The only counter is to pick one yourself. Also, TT's map is heavily snowbally as it is, so whoever gets first blood will most likely win the game. Champions with weaker early games are pretty much unplayable unless you build a team around them.

3v3 map is like 100x more unbalanced and binary than SR. It also doesn't help that Riot hasn't done anything to update the map in almost 2 years (might be longer than that).

I never saw someone to get a hexakill in my game.

Ruin Lance6/11/2016, 8:04:36 PM2 votes

tbh i don't know why they always do hexakill on TT. it's too much harder to get a hexakill unless you're playing someone like kat because the map is so fucking small and everyone is always dying. and i'm almost certain that most people want it on summoner's rift, too, because every single game that i played on hexakill this week people always say "aw man, it's this map."

Rossendale6/12/2016, 10:48:58 AM2 votes

Hexakill on SR was boring as hell because people were too scared to innovate. In 99% of cases people just shoved a second guy up top and from then on it was basically a normals but with one more guy on your team telling you he banged your mother.

HayRoss6/11/2016, 10:16:17 PM2 votes

It should be on the crystal scar

And I mean the good one, not the shitty new one

A Basic Island6/12/2016, 11:47:55 AM1 votes

it's by far better on the treeline

sure, you don't get mastery, and i'm betting that's a reason most people want it there but it's way better

+2 on a map that already has 10 isn't really much

but doubling the amount of people on an already small map makes it chaotic

and thats the idea, not to give someone an extra jungler or an extra top/mid

LatetotheRace6/12/2016, 1:10:09 AM1 votes

How about an option?

Sukishoo6/12/2016, 1:17:42 AM1 votes

Actually no, Hexakill: Twisted Treeline was first introduced in season 4 patch 4.18 http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/patch/patch-418-notes XDD

I kinda wish the eye-ward was replaced with something like a Farsight Orb so people like Lee can ward hop. Mainly cause I wanna mess around with Lee there.

SpecterVonBaren6/12/2016, 3:43:18 AM1 votes

Not much changes when Hex was on SR due to the slow nature of SR it took a while for the fact that there was a sixth person to really influence things outside of forcing top or mid to duo.

Also it's a lot easier for there to be so many people on TT because team fights break out so often which means people are getting gold from kill and assists so it's okay that there's less creep gold to go around. On SR though you suddenly have this sixth person that needs a source of income and there isn't one for them unless they went with a support and most of the people in this community despise playing support.

Blue Moon Wolf6/12/2016, 4:37:47 AM1 votes

That would be a nice change, though I'm wondering if that means there would be 2 junglers. If that's the case, I'll just buy item 3301 and hanging out by my turrent till the laning phase ends ty .__.

Kalarepa6/12/2016, 10:43:14 AM1 votes

Sorry, but Hexakill on Summoner's Rift was boring as hell. You barely noticed the 6th guy. People complained about it and that's why Riot moved it to TT.
