I had a bad start of the season got placed in bronze 3 and went on a losing streak (had a small 4 loss streak recently aswell) and now I'm sitting 40W and 40L in bronze 1 and just wanted to know how bad that really was. Personally I've accepted where i am and am trying to improve (last season i was bronzr 4 all season) so i don't really care if it's garbage or no just wanted your opinion

depends on what you mean by bad. From what I understand they count as people on the upper end of the lower half of average.. maybe in the 40%-45% bracket? if you mean play style, most of them tend to have their basic mechanics down, but are bad at taking objectives. If you have 4 people standing around being stopped from taking a tower by one person on the enemy team, you might be in bronze 1.

If you're already higher ranked than you were last season then that's pretty good. From what I've seen people usually only improve one full division per season (i.e. silver 5 to gold 5) unless they put a ton of time into the game (500+ ranked games.)

Being in bronze means that you're starting to understand the basics but you still don't have very high mechanical skill or game knowledge. That's something that just comes with experience and by watching players that are better than you. Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about how your rank compares to others, it gets very frustrating when you do that. Instead, focus on whether or not you're better than you were yesterday. As long as you're learning and improving then it doesn't really matter what your rank is.

same as in every other rank whereas division 1 is tryharding like crazy to get to the next rank while the division 5ers of the next rank are just phoning in their games and have usually given up.

You can see that your in the majority of the people. Almost 75% of the player base is Silver/Bronze elo. So, while it might not be great, it's not horrible. You're just average.

The biggest way to improve when in lower Elo is to CS better, ward, and look at your map. If you look at your history, your CS is kinda ehh. I have bad games too even as Silver 1, but a lot of your games are like 30 minutes and you have 100 CS. You can be 70-100 CS at 10 minutes. Just practice that and you'll have a ton of gold, which turns into items, which makes fights easier and you'll be able to perform better. The less gold you have, the better you have to be mechanically to make up the difference.
