Some thoughts on preseason and the state of league

Some of what I say here may be contradictory of the common thoughts expressed on the boards however I would like to state this is all opinion or at least the very grand majority of it is. First we have the new runes and honestly I'd like to say they were a success in my opinion. Sure some are unbalanced and have some serious issues caused by certain champs. (Looking at you klepto ez and Aery teemo) but I believe overall they decrease the need to have a large amount of ip sank into them to be at a competitive level. I also believe they add new aspects to gameplay and more meaningful choices. Next up we'll talk about essence changes. Blue essence is kind of meh I don't like how you gain all of it at once and it feels a bit annoying however it is not a dealbreaking thing the way people act. I've realized you get a amount comparable to what you'd get with the old Ip and anyone saying they got 180 blue essence from a shard that isn't actually happening and riot themselves has a baseline set for the lowest you can get.(im about 99% sure on this) orange essence changes however is something I despise. I used to be at a point where since I'd usually have extra chests I'd buy some keys whenever I would have extra rp after a skin was released that I'd want to buy. Sure it wasn't a lot I spent on them but I always found it fun and rewarding to buy but now it just seems pointless. Lastly a quick note on those complaining about balance. Honestly it's preseason balance is in the shitter because everything new changing at once and preseason is not the time to complain about this riot sees the winrates they see what's going on in the game and they want to see how everything turns out after it calms. Let them do it they'll get it fixed before the start of the season. Overall I think the preseason is enjoyable with new things to try and I believe that some things will take time to get used too. I believe the worst change by far was the orange essence changed and We could sit here and whine about it or just wait for riot to see the dislike everyone has for it by the decrease in hetech sales.
