Please balance out team MMR

I am tired of getting over half of the games being a complete slaughter. Either my team rapes and I feel like I played well, or there is absolutely nobody in my team who can get a kill and I feel like I wasted 20 mins of my life (that is fi my teammates are smart enough to ff a complete loss). I don't know if this is a "feature" of normal games, but please let me select a button which doubles or even triples my waiting time to guarantee my chances of getting 10 players with the same MMR.

You'd think after the 7th game in a row where a level 20 is paired against a Diamond player, the system would correct itself so it doesn't pair you with people at that skill level.

I would gladly sacrifice time in queue for higher quality games. +1.

And thats the reason Team Builder is crap.

You always get teammates around your Elo...then your opponents are Platinum/Diamonds.

I think there's too much of a difference between normal and ranked MMR (if there's even a difference, it seems like it at least). Also, there seems to be a wide variation of the players I'm paired with/against. I get people everywhere from unranked to gold and sometimes platinum. I'm Bronze I in my promotional to Silver V. I'm not Bronze V, and I'm not Platinum V, yet I get paired with (and against) both, sometimes on the same team.

I guess you can say the main "problem" you are having is that each queue has its own separate MMR. A lot of people who go high in ranked don't play normals very often after hitting 30, so there should be a decent disparity between their normal/ranked MMR. Say a diamond player in ranked, but has gold/plat MMR in normal, so if you are around that you will get matched up with them. The problem I think isn't really "balancing" the MMR, since the system is probably doing it somewhat correctly, the problem is more that the MMR's are separate.

For me I don't mind it too much since I want to get better, getting dumped on helps me learn from my mistakes, though it is very punishing learning this way :/.

Normal games also has mmr but I pretty much only play ranked since I got to lvl 30, so I got to diamond but my normal mmr is still an average lvl 30, so when ever I play normals with my friends I get paired up with unrank or bronze and silver, the games are always a huge stomp. I think riot should use the average of ranked mmr and normal mmr to match players.

You know, I was just discussing that with my friend.

It is like flipping a coin and I get exhausted from being on either standpoint. I feel like I am powerless.

It's not always just the MMR though, I was vs a team a while ago that had a pretty decent amount of MMR more than us, but they got completely destroyed, to the point that we had 2 inhibs down and were able to get an uncontested baron at 24 minutes, we pretty much out rotated them at every turn and took the win at 30:01. Stomps can happen vs higher MMR teams as well.

I feel the same way, I would rather wait an extra 5-10 minutes to get into an even matched game than wasting 20+ in a game I never had a chance to win.

There was a survey a while ago asking If people where satisfied with the MMR system, I personally voted No. Hopefully a lot of people did and that survey will go into good hands for something to be done.

Well what happens is it finds you a team of 5 near your MMR, and after that it finds another team if 5 near that MMR and pairs you against each other, but that means one teams average is almost always higher than the others by a fair amount. It should just find 10 players and distribute them in a 1-2-2-2-2-1 fashion from highest to lowest MMR.

Dude you captured the essence of the game perfectly

It's because there are too many variables to this game. Rito cannot balance it even if they tried their hardest ( they don't though)

If you take 4 strong mechanical players and add a strong tactical player and the 4 mechanical players are actually listening to the tactical player.. then you are nigh unbeatable.

If you take 4 strong tactical players but poor mechanical players and add in a strong mechanical player, you will most likely lose. Your shot calling will be shit and your team fights will be a mess. Your objective control will suffer, your jungler will most likely AFK masturbate and it's not gonna be fun.

Take 5 of either kind and it's gonna suck as well. 5 strong mechanical players will lose the game with more kills than the other team and so on.

These examples are from people who actually have SOME strength in this game.

Let's put together a Team Builder team.

1 Player who is "first time X" but is not gonna play safe at all. He will feed and he doesn't care, he is just there to learn the mechanics of the champion. 1 Player who is an AFK farmer who always wants to be the late game hero who emerges with stacks or stolen easy kills to save the day, except he won't. 1 Player who will sacrifice himself all game, even when nobody was in any real danger. He will go 0-18-9 and it doesn't matter cause he was the support. 1 Player who just shat himself when he lost that final smidge of faith in humanity upon seeing his team move around the rift. 1 Player who will complain about not getting any free kills, then her power spikes and she will proceed to get every last kill of the second half of the game.
