Because when she gets ahead in lane and starts building HP, it just makes it even harder to come back because she can just wait for you to damage her first then stun you, and stagnates the lane
EndlessSorcerer2 votesI'd say that has less to do with Irelia, and more to do with your Singed dying to her before 3 minutes into the game. Also, the fact that you leveled W on Vi first may have compromised your ability to duel her, since you lacked burst damage, mobility, and she could stun or kite you long enough for your W attack speed to disappear.
Oh, and you bought a Blade of the Ruined King second instead of health, so her W's true damage would rip right through you.
