I'm really afraid of Vel'Koz to be ruined

Okay i main Velkoz since he came out

I just want to know you won't do something terrible to him...

his abilities are actually unique..

Q - Which champ has similar ability?

W - Which champ has similar ability? (Poppy Q?)

E - Okay that's a little usual

R - Unique as well... (Maybe malz ult but still that's different)

Please Riot i beg you don't ruin dis champ if you update him

Q_Q i love him as he is!

Riot is steadfast in their decision to update him. They don't listen to player feedback at all. I mean even Brand is fine the way he is. Vel has an identity in te game, is fun to play, and the community likes him. Why are they WASTING their time updating him . . . and even Brand when the community says there is nothing wrong with them?

They should fix the botched Morde they screwed up or rework Karma. Karma is extremely boring to play, has a useless passive, and only one damage move.

She has two.

No it's one. Players can easily get out of the R+Q combo. The damage isn't even that good on either of them. It is good if you can spam it at max cooldown reduction but the damage is VERY low. I mean the least Riot could do would be to up the damage . . . but they won't.

It's two. Her Q and her tether. Both do damage.

There's no specific reason to pick Vel'koz. He's just a mage that does damage. Even his main gimmick, how he's supposed to deal true damage, feels really disjointed.

He is a poke champion. He is good at poking the enemy and landing his combos. I don't see any need to update him. This is just my opinion though.

He shouldn't be both. It's painful to watch a Vel'koz go into the range of a Talon / Viktor / Anivia, trying to E-W, or Q-W for poke. Riot needs to decide if vel'koz is a poke mage, or a combo mage. If he's a poke mage, then he needs a better / updated passive. If he's a combo mage, then he needs a better / updated ultimate.

Just my opinion.

In the end its still just a mid range poke mage...

Corki, Quinn, Cait, Graves, MF and Kog Maw were all "unique" as well.

I play a bit of Velkoz too, and I am worried also. But I'm not sure if it his abilities per se, but rather his role. He has long range poke, a lot of damage, good teamfight, no mobility. A lot of other mages have that same exact design. Lux, Brand, Xerath, Malz, Ziggs, they more or less occupy very similar roles. Granted Ziggs might have a little more mobility, and Lux exchanges some damage with some zone control and utility, but they are all similar role wise.

His passive and W are what will most likely change. There's no interaction with the passive other than an extra damage boost which doesn't fit his whole "learning" theme and his W is just use as a wave clear early that he spams like a morgana pool.

And whats wrong with a simple wave clear and damage ability? By that logic half of the mages kits would have to be changed.

Hence the mage rework! Go figure! This comes from Riot not me anyways.

You may be stating this as a ridiculous stretch, but that is more or less the long term goal Riot has laid out, one category of mages at a time.

It's fine.

It's not fine when that's the primary focus on his gameplay and not Q.

their vel changes will probably be really small, he's one of the better champ designs in the game so I don't really know what they could change. maybe add an indicator on where his q will go after it splits
