what am i suppose to build now for my midlane when i want ap and mr? most will probably say build 
. except im playing an artillary mage so its effects will be useless.

Mysticman892 votesIf you're artillery enough that you're always out of range, why do you need mr?
If you're versus other long range poke, than AP+move speed or AP+health are arguably better options, and if not and they're getting in your face, then abyssal is serving its purpose. (And if they're super bursty, theres rushing towards hourglass instead.)

Erockandroll1 votesI'm not exactly sure what you were planing to do with the MR from Athene's. 25 is okay but not great.
In my experience, if your the siege mage, your best bet is to kite and avoid damage when possible. To that end, I would pick up Luden's for the extra movement speed.
