How to deal with toxic teamates by Radnar the bold

Radnar the bold··153 votes·11,547 views

Every time they yell at you, respond back " i just love you so much that i make mistakes" If they call you a bronze noob say this "I may be a bronze but you're a gold in my heart" If they call you trash say "If I'm trash i hope you're the garbage collector" and then wink basically just fall in love with them and make them feel bad for not returning the love and follow what Stephan Fry does when he deals with bullies and say " stop stop, you'll give me an erection"

stop the hate, spread the love

I like to just ignore those people, but that may not be the best approach either :(

If you ignore them they get angrier, but if you send them love and they return hate them their voice is silence and then they just silently pout, becuase who can respond after they say "go ef yourself" and you say "but ill need your help ;)" and then boom they dont know what to say.

I honestly would just like to ask what happens when someone flames a riot employee. Do they end up getting a case looked at immediately as someone from riot has directly seen their behavior or do you guys just file a normal report that only has meaning if the person has a build up like everyone else? Or do all riot employees come equipped with a secret instaban gun they can use to terminate all who oppose their glory?

Kairya2 votes

I doubt it.

If you are rude to a police officer (just rude, not breaking a crime or overly offensive otherwise), will they suddendly start digging up any small crime you might have commited, just to bring you in? People usually can distinguish between private and work life. And I believe Rioters are just as capable of dealing with flames in their private life as we are.

It must be nice living in the EU.

Kairya1 votes

It is.

But in this case, I have to admit, that I have no personal experience at all. It was just a general assumption, that the police probably can't do things like that. At least I never heard of anything like this... To be accurate though: The countries in the EU are really different from each other, so it might not be so nice everywhere.

TotalJerk1 votes

My point was there is about a 50% chance depending on your neighborhood that that is EXACTLY what will happen if you live in the US. They typically wont hesitate to take advantage of people who don't look like they know their rights.

Kairya1 votes

I did understand the gist of it... Just wanted to say, that my first comment is highly affected by my background. I am from a village in the middle of nowhere, inhabitated by educated families with their kids. Not a lot of crime, barley any police. So its possible, that things are not so nice over here either, just certain places or neighborhoods. I am sorry to hear, that its so bad in the US though.

When people try to bully you and no one bothers to chime in they lose their 'drive' fairly quickly when you respond in a non-antagonistic way.

The best way to deal with toxicity is to actually be a competent player. Instead of spending time trying to figure out how to troll players who are raging, focus on spending time trying to figure out how you can be a better player and stop doing the stupid stuff that causes allies to rage in the first place.

This discussion is not to focus on that its to have fun and spur the toxic players.

ChargeItDownMid1 votes

Um. No. That is not it. The most toxic players I run into are USUALLY the worst on my team.

It is ALWAYS someone else's mistake, not theirs. I just had a team member rage at me for my pick in an URF match.

They had the most deaths, the least kills, the least assists, and basically fed their opponents. Meanwhile I got my kills, my build, and pushed for the win.

I don't need to be a better player to stop toxic players. Toxic players need to be better players and better people.

99% of the time the toxic person/rager is that 1/15 Zed/Hec/Nid who is terrible. And somehow, two lanes away, I am too blame because "X champ sucks in URF u scrub"

Someone can't read. I Pushed my lane and got to the inhibs and nexus.

In plainer english. Person in question fed his opponent horribly, lost both his turrets, My lane mate went to go help bot lane, mid was holding fine. I was 1v2 top lane chased em both out, they decided to go bot lane where the 3v4 was happening and they couldn't push.

MEANWHILE TOP LANE

I dropped 3 turrets in 3 minutes and the inhib before they even realized I was there. Dropped wards. Went back, completed build to push in fast. Derp in question is STILL Raging, runs into a 1v5 in mid lane BY HIMSELF while me and the other 3 were at Baron. All 5 tried to push up mid. My 3 went back to stall, told me to push, I TP'd to bot lane, Nexus down before opponents reacted.

So yeah. 5 turrets, an inhib, and the nexus. I sure wasn't contributing. Rager ended 2/17 ON A ZED.

Totally my fault. Yeah.

Radnar the bold5 votes

And because of that, the discussion completely missed the point. The best way to have fun and spur the toxic players is to improve your own gameplay and stop them from having a reason to rage. Trolling them won't make the situation any better and neither will wasting time figuring out what to chat instead of what to do ingame.

Just because you are having fun doesnt mean you are not having good gameplay. My friend jungles when we play and people yell at him when he doesnt gank, or when they die from overpushing and is it his fault? no, but they will yell and rage. People rage at anyone for anything even when they arent even making mistakes. Also no one has the excuse to rage I dont care if your diamnond or bronze, yelling solves nothing, so this is what I do and it works to stop them and without flaming them some more. If you have a better way, then use that system friend. Just because you dont like my method doesnt make it a wrong method. Cuz youre a diamond out of the coal pile ;)

But ignoring your own gameplay and focusing on how you can troll the ragers will only cause people to get raged at more in the long run. The best way to stop the rage before it even comes is to simply focus on improving your own gameplay so there is less reason for your allies to rage. Instead of focusing on whether or not people have excuses to rage, why not focus on eliminating the rage to begin with?

I do not understand why you keep saying focus on gameplay friend? why would I not focus on gameplay? Yuo keep using that word and I do not know why, when I do do that? also rgaers could yell at a teamate and this still works to stop them from attacking others as well. This method is to enjoy the game without having to mute/attack/or yell at the rager but just make him seem silly. Like I said if you do not like my methods you do not have to use them amigo

What they're saying is it doesn't matter if you're a pro player, if someone is raging at you, your actual gameplay skills aren't factored in to their anger. Ragers are generally bad because they never focus on their own game play and therefore make mistakes that can easily be avoided if they were competent and then blame others. You could be 12/0/13, pushing their nexus and it literally wouldn't matter. Ragers will rage no matter what. So no, your own gameplay really doesn't factor in here. All OP is doing is providing people with a funny way of shutting ragers up.

Yeah I took a look at your match history, and I see a huge lack of normals there, so you have an extremely distorted view on rage considering your high rank. So, let me rephrase:

IN NORMALS ragers are stupid and can't play at all and blame everything on everyone else on the team even though they're the ones fucking up and making mistakes, and the other players are actually doing pretty decently. They're always the ones to push out when there's no vision, when no one is with them, when the enemy is mia. They're the ones who can't see the glaringly obvious bad engages from the good and just go in constantly and blame their team when they die in a 1v5. They are, almost every time, the single biggest reason a team loses.

OP is doing nothing wrong frankly. Literally, he isn't doing anything against the summoners code, he's not being mean spirited, he's not being dumb or intentionally feeding, he's doing nothing wrong. He's doing something FUNNY to confuse ragers in his elo, and it works for him. Just because one person decides to rain on his parade and insist he's wrong DESPITE IT WORKING FOR HIM isn't going to change anything. Clearly, high rank isn't everything and with that comes an extremely limited pool of other players to gain experiences from, positive and negative, and therefore, a severely limited number of ways to deal with situations.

Rage doesn't need to be consistent, and it never will be. As was said before, ragers will find SOMETHING to rage about because they're pissed off whether it's a legitimate complaint or not. You can have a perfect score, and have been warding, and pushing towers, and been doing everything right, and a rager WILL STILL RAGE AT YOU because, despite you being top at the time, 'WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ME BOT NOOB????' or 'OMG WE HAVE NO VISION, WARD YOU STUPID NOOBS!' when they've placed 2 wards all game, and you have the upgraded warding trinket and have actually been using it. Ragers, frankly, are stupid and don't think because they're angry. We all get a little dumb when we're angry. We become irrational. Which is why no matter how well you play, ragers will still rage. THEY'RE IRRATIONAL.

Basically trolls can only have fun when doing it, if they see people getting mad about it.

If someone intentionally starts feeding and shit, if you just ignore him, he won't be having any fun, because he isn't actually trolling anyone if they don't get mad at him .

That's like the best way to try and stop a troll. When you ignore them they will just feel like being in an empty room, you can't troll anyone if the room is empty lel .

When a kid has tantrum and is being ignored does he stop? no he gets louder and more annoying. It better to shut a troll down without using anger or ignoring them. Id say muting is the best option rather than ignoring, but my points are to have fun while enjoying the game.
