Can we nerf twitchs ulti?

OK am not going to say how braindead that ulti is or how he can combine it with this rengar ulti (q) and get extra attack speed ,i think we all know that. The best solution is to NOT stay grouped,ok ok ok but the real problem is how do you say that to your teammates so they dont give him a quadra everyfight?I mean i stay at the backline and just watch him 5 shot my team over and over and over and over AND OVER again. But you know maybe if i pick something with cc in it, i can maybe ki- oh he has a supp with ardent plus a 300 hp shield? oh nvm well am just give him my lp and be over with it right?

PS this post got 44 upvotes ...you guys really hate the adc meta huh?

The thing about not staying grouped is that it doesn't really affect Twitch's power one-on-one. At its most basic, it's 300 bonus range and 40 bonus AD, which means he can hit a lone enemy just fine and burst them down all the same. Effectively, not grouping up merely makes the ult less efficient, without actually countering its effects.

What I think Twitch needs more than a nerf is a kit update: right now, there is very little that can be done to outplay him, besides maybe attacking him while he Qs or dodging his W. Everything else relies on him autoattacking his opponent, but that's easily achievable on a marksman with an attack speed steroid, above-average positioning and a range steroid on top. Twitch has a ton of reliable steroids right now, and doesn't really pay for that with unreliability elsewhere. In addition, there's currently this major contradiction in identity, where Twitch still has the bones of a teamfighting, DoT-heavy marksman, but has recently been given the tools to also be a bursty ranged assassin. Right now he can do both at the same time, which is in part why he's too good right now. What I think Riot needs to do is set a strong, singular direction for him, and start making him (as well as a whole lot of other marksmen) significantly more outplayable by making his overall power more unreliable and interactive.

You know how Shaco leaves a puff of smoke when he stealths and that you can always see that puff even if he's in the fog of war? Make it so Twitch leaves periodic puffs of "smell" when he stealths (Like one puff every 5 seconds) so that it can't be used to just run halfway down a lane to kill someone without them ever having any means of preparing for it.

Rakan does very well against him. As do Zed, Talon, and Akali. ADC-wise, your only real option Is Cait (because you should still outrange him...barely) or, theoretically, a well-stacked Kindred. Mid, besides the assassins mentioned before, you could take Ahri or LB, and just make sure you pick up Zhonya's (less for passive and more for armor) and Gunblade. Top or jungle, you have any great initiator. Zac, J4, Camille, etc...All do well. The trick to fighting Twitch is almost the same as the trick to fighting Caitlyn: Closing the gap before he kills you.

You can also wait out his ultimate. It lasts a meager 5 seconds. If you're doing things right, you won't die in that time.

The ult is his core ability,i would prefer a nerf to his Q or E

I'm okay with Twitch ult. What's bother me is his Q. How to properly nerf it: Increase his basic detect range a bit. I don't feel like 700 units (is it really even 700 units?!) is enough for twitch. Increase it a bit more. Or at least make it so when he has hit ult up increase his camouflage detection range by 150 (half of its bonus range). That way he won't get to 550 range (or sometime even less) and activate his ult so you'll be dps'd to the ground without possibility to escape.

They need to nerf his Q or replace it with a different ability. An ADC shouldn't have a short CD stealth imo.

We can't but Riot can.

Sounds like a Ardent problem - that and the fact that he's supposed to destroy in teamfights similarly to say Kat

Maybe the bonus range (and AD aswell?) is too much on his ultimate. It's already great with the pierce and poison on multiple enemies :p

yes

I hate stealth since the removal of Pink Wards just entirely. It's probably some of the very worst crap I feel the game has.

Twitch has been BS for alot of time, why are you people JUST NOW realizing it.

EVERYTIME the meta favors him he is disgusting to play against.

Twitch is an old champion with an old kit. He needs an update, though to tell you the truth I don't know what to give him to fix his current problems.

Or you can set up proper ward control. Or camp Twitch early game.

VelvetCrotch8/30/2017, 8:53:31 AM1 votes

True. No skill ulti. Just click to win midgame which is the new lategame. Thumbs up.

why nerf his ulti when his long lasting stealth on a basic ability is a problem

its been unhealthy for ages. anytime he is meta its cancer.

his ult and range thats like a key reason he's a hyper carry.

like you could straight up remove his stealth and change his Q to an instant cast steroid and he'd still be good late game. that's how good his ult is.

but it's not unhealthy. its his tool. his ult only feels busted when hes coming out behind your backline from stealth at like 900 range and you can't react fast enough to burst him down.
