5+ dots on my screen whenever i alt tab.
after loading in-game or alt tabbing black dots appear on my screen.Definitely not dead pixels and 2 of my friends got it too.Please fix it

O I assumed it my PC finally breaking down... at one point there was even a thing black line that ran down the whole screen. Glad it isn't only me!
This happens to me too! I thought it was just my shitty computer but I guess not :o
I’ve had black dots like you said, black lines, and even worse.... thick blue lines only on my minimap blocking view of most of the mini map
Happens to me too, I thought it was just me.
For any Rioters looking at this, the issue (for me at least) is that there appears a "strip" of 5-10 black "dots" (more like bars) (kind of rectangles, with 2:1 height:width dimensions). The "bars" are aligned horizontally with each other, and spaced about 2 bar's width from one another. They strongly remind me of bar codes, but with consistent thickness, height, and spacing for each of the "bars".
I've mostly seen them in the top left and top right quadrants of my screen, they stay in the same place on my screen when I look around the map (so they aren't localized on the map), but they only show up in League (they don't show up when I'm looking at the client or when I'm out of League of Legends).
I haven't tried to reproduce what causes them, but they typically stay there until the end of the game. I don't remember if they persist into future games or not.
What may help with this issue is that I consistently, at many points in a game, see a floating black bar (probably a corrupt visual asset?) that starts at the left side of my screen and drifts across to the right side. I ONLY see this particular element when I look at bottom lane, in an area around first tower blue side (the area around first tower is at least 1 screen's distance away. for example, it will show up if the first tower is just barely outside my screen's area). It drifts across my screen without regard to where I shift my screen's focus on the map, as long as I first looked in the general vicinity of first tower blue side. It happens multiple times in a game, on average I see it about 3 times or so, though I haven't kept track of what match times I've seen. It makes me think that you guys programmed a particular visual element to drift across the screen when player's look at this region of SR, and I have a corrupt file for that element.
Anyway, I think these two issues are related. Hopefully this provides some more insight to the issue.

I get dots and always a black line at the top of the screen. Thought it was discord doing it, but still happened when it wasn't even opened.

Oh I have this too! It's either small black triangles in a row or small black squares.

I get this so, so often. I've got a good pc and I was surprised when this was happening. I usually get 5 black dots the size of 1mm square and spaced out like 1-2mm from each other horizontally. They even sometimes space out up to 4mm, it is so annoying and the only way I can fix it is exiting the game and re-connecting. But if I alt tab out again they just spawn on my screen when I tab back in. The most I've had on my screen is 6 horizontal rows spread out on my screen so that's 30 black dots in total.

Yeah it's been happening for like 3 patches in a row now. It happened when they changed the health bars and now there are some bugs where mana bars show up in random places, the black bars are the most annoying part though :/

Got the same issue, one of my friends told me it may be discord overlay or some overlay like that, not sure if this is true.

I also had a line near the top middle of the screen which was kind of clear but separated part of the screen.
Hey I've seen this too! I knew it wasn't dead pixels since you can mouse over it and the cursor is fine.

There are 2 graphical bugs that were introduced in 8.1 and later versions. The first is the one most experience (the black dotted lines) and the second is a black bar either full screen or a section of it flashing quickly. This is even more rare so I could imagine there are more visual bugs related to these that are even harder to produce. Hopefully this gets solved soon because for one it's annoying and second, people think they're artifacts.
Also their champion teasers usually add a visual modifcation to the map and/or sound FX so I really doubt it's for a new champ.
