I mean, mostly focused at the nerf veigar op threads, but it relates to others. I mean, you're getting bursted by an anti-mage when you're a mage not only because that's the point of the matchup, but because you're rushing deathcap into ludens when he scales with your ap.

Veigar didnt kill me once ever seince I can remember. He still needs nerfs. :]
Caster minion killed me. Nerf caster minion.
I don't want champs nerfed based on their kill potential.
I want them nerfed based on my "Sigh-o-meter"
You see, when I see a champ in champ select that immediately makes me sigh, cringe, grunt angrily or just want to AFK, I want that champ to never be picked again.
No champion should make you feel dread before you even see how a player plays.
I personally only call for a nerf or a buff when I see the exact same results every game I see that champion. For Example: Darius wins top lane every game, then roams and gets more kills, then wins the game due to over tuned damage and tank-ness. Or Lucian, he does way too little damage right now due to the meta and every other ADC basically counters him, therefore, a buff is in order.
Its just things like that for myself. But I see your point, there are a lot of people who just get butthurt after losing a game just once due to a champion getting fed on the enemy team.
