I just realised LeBlanc's base stats are pretty high.
Level 1 LeBlanc: HEALTH: 516 // 7.4 regen MANA: 334 // 6.0 regen AD: 55 ARM: 21.9 MS: 335
Level 1 Lissandra: (special note: LIssandra outranges LeBlanc's AA by 25) HEALTH: 506 // 6.9 MANA: 305 // 5.7 AD: 51 ARM: 20.2 MS: 325
"But hang on, Elphege, Lissandra has that ultimate and she's got some mobility in her E as well. She also outranges LeBlanc so is safer." True, so let's compare LeBlanc to someone with a similar AA range but no mobility.
Level 1 Xerath: HEALTH: 514 // 5.4 regen MANA: 367 // 6.0 regen AD: 55 ARM: 21.9 MS: 340
Level 1 Viktor: (notable: Viktor's level 1 attack speed is higher) HEALTH: 516 // 7.8 regen MANA: 324 // 6.0 regen AD: 52 ARM: 22.7 MS: 335
And then I was all, "Whoah, for a champion with a lot of mobility, LeBlanc's base stats are practically equivalent to Xerath." Viktor does beat her out, though, except he has less AD and a little less Mana. He also doesn't have any mobility whatsoever.
Of interesting note is that at level 6, Viktor overtakes LeBlanc in nearly all stats, whereas LeBlanc still bests Lissandra in all stats. Xerath and LeBlanc still have mostly similar stats, with LeBlanc having far superior regen and Xerath having slightly higher base health and mana.
By lategame, Xerath and LeBlanc remain pretty much equal in their differences, with Xerath having more base health, MS and mana, but LeBlanc having more health regen, AD and attack speed.
I looked at it because a champion with a lot of safety built into their kit usually pays for it elsewhere (or is said to), and to this day I'd always thought LeBlanc's base stats were lower as a result until I faced her as Lissandra and realised her base stats were actually higher.
I also learnt her AA range is less than most mid mages, so I realise I've always been far too cautious for her AA poke. Grrrr.
