making a wanta-be Babe Ruth call on new Mordkaiser

Just pass on this if you want to love the new Mordkaiser, or you think a nobody can't have an option, but I am putting this down cause I see Mordkaiser's new ult is hot garbage, and if I am right, I want to reserve the I told you so card. Feel free to down vote and move on now.

Anyway New Mord ult is going to be a hot garbage ult. Unless it has one or more of these following conditions. Long channel time (3 to 4 seconds), long ult timer at least twice of karthus's, melee range, and/or a very slow and hard to land skill shot.

I say this, cause competitive. If he is not banned one team can have him and devise the entire team around a 4v4. That means the other team would have to make their team be able to fight a 4v4 with anyone of their players removed. Causing major problems. This is because Mord was just given a 7 second remove button. The longest CC in the game. Now I can hear, oh but he can't 1v1 a fed carry, like Lucian. True, but he can remove their support, front line, or anybody preventing Lucian to get dog piled. Mord does not have to win that fight, cause he just removed one player from the board. With himself, that is true, but as said before, his team was planing a 4v4. And if he wins, that is a joke. Hell it says he has 25% pen from his E, so let me guess if he buys a void staff, how hard a fight it is going to be against a tank.

This skill is the baby of old Poppy's ult and Tahm's devour. Let me show you what can be done with it. Zed pops ult on Mord's fed carry, Mord pops ult on him when he emerges, boom, Zed's ult is now wasted unless he kills Mord in less than 3 seconds with out using his skill shots, just so he can use them on a fed adc with what ever time he has left over. Rakan jumps in with his W and ult combo, but Mord knew it was coming so Mord Buffered his ult on Rakan, so that before Rakan finishes his travel Mord just removes him. Same can go with a ton of champs, like Ahri, Alistar, Amumu, Azir, Camille, Fiddlesticks, and so on. What do I mean by buffering his ult. Well if Mord's ult is not a skill shot, Mord is just going to sit out of range of his ult and keep hitting his ult on the guy he does not want in his team and cancelling it with a move order. So when they get in his range, boom the enemy team lost it's engage.

That is not even touching the fact that if Mord is able to keep away form a late game carry for 7 seconds, how that will lead to Mord selling items for full tank just so his team can win the 4v4 and then they can pounce the damage dealer.

I would go on, but at this point you have the picture or not. His ult is to me going to make him hot garbage that is going to get nerfed and nerfed till it gets removed. Solely due to utility of his ult. Good luck, Mord mains. I hope for your sake, I am wrong, and if I am right, no pro can make it work.

Also this rework seems so low energy. I am not a metal music fan, but all of his skills seem like they have no connection to any song, so it shows how much Riot cares about the fans. They could have kept most of the names for the same skills, but no. Good luck in getting more and more broken, hot garage champs that they rather leave broken till they can get out 5 new bedazzled skins so then they can dumpster the champ. Or just dumpster them right then and not look back for 2+ years.
