Does anyone find AP ekko underwhelming?

Am a diamond player and starting messing around with ekko. I found him sort of weak compared to most mid laners. His ap ratios along with base damage on e and q seem relatively low.

Only thing saving him imo is his low cds.

His ult has high damage and a great heal but is predictable and easily played around.

Hard to use in teamfights unless youre being chased considering he is a melee and to get a good ulti off have to within enemies range for 4 seconds.

He is extremely strong if you get ahead early but that is a difficult task due to the fact you are melee and dont do alot of dmg without ulti. (unless you land a good w and can burst while stunned.)

I love his kit and the possibilities that could come from it. His tower dives are extremely strong but you dont really have the q e burst to really kill anyone who is above 50% hp without somehow landing your ulti.

While his q does decent damage on return it is easily dodged by good players. The initial damage only has a .10 ap ratio while the return has a respectable .60 ap ratio.

His e is a good engage but with only a .20 ap ratio really doesnt suffice for relative damage.

Im just not finding his damage to be sufficient for an melee caster with a very situational ulti.

Anyone else thinking he would be much more viable with a slight increase in ap ratios to both q initial hit and his e?
