What's stopping you from taking something that isn't an adc bot lane?
A zed and talon bot vs a squishy support and adc.... Who needs an adc when they don't have one either? lol [slayer-jinx-catface]

The problem with that is. A good support/adc will DESTROY a zed/talon.
You should be poked and zoned so hard it isn't even funny.
Q every 8 seconds for the entire laning phase.

Since when has that stopped zed? Q+W.....
because the meta is slapped onto us and you must have an adc and a support every game
Absolutely noting, but if some of these people were to lose with them they would have to admit that they are not as good with the champions as they think they are. Its easier to say that a champion can't be played off meta because of Riot than it is to own up to a loss.
"ADC"
Not a lot really, ADC mid, top and jungle is pretty common so you could pretty easily do something else bot lane without losing your teams sustained damage source. Double bruiser bot is an option for shutting down an ADC

/
or double mage

/
There are also melee carries that can work quite well with a support
or sustained damage mages
You could mess with the enemy even further and take AP
Assassins can work but generally you want ones that have a strong early game as opposed to a good snowball since there will be a support in the lane that can potentially prevent you from getting a lead

If you do take a snowball reliant assassin like
then you want a pick support like

With the new Dynamic queue you could probably set this up pretty easily.

It's not that you need an ADC bot lane, it's that you need one on your team, given that the game is based on knocking down towers until you knock down the Nexus and ranged AD champions are the best at this, and because he is gold-dependent rather than level-dependent, his best place is bot lane with a partner that focuses of helping him get stronger as fast as possible.
With your setup, if both the ADC and support play the lane right, you have 2 underfed and underleveled AD assassins - basically, 2 champions with the resilience of a wet tissue, and the strength of a wet noodle.
2 people with shared income is always going to be worse than 1 person with all the lane's income poured into them, it's sad maybe, but it's a mathematical fact. It's more efficient to have a gold dependent champion (ADC) with a gold independent champion (support) than 2 assassins sharing the lane's gold and hopefully getting enough kills that it won't matter. More efficient means more reliable, and people tend to lean towards what has been proven to work in most cases than towards experimental ideas, especially coming from strangers.
