Where is the tryndameer rework at? Unfun for the team and the enemy......

Every time there is a trynd, he pretty much just sits top lane and AFKs up there. Meanwhile his team is being forced into a 4v5.

Or when you need to stop him but then you remember he has an undying ult.

Or when you lost lane because he got lucky and crit you.

Or when he gets shit on making the game a 4v5, which pretty much isn't any different when in a good spot as he just sits top anyways.

Tryndamere literally defies every single balancing guidelines Riot has. It is baffling how is he even allowed to exist in his current state without getitng Eve'd until his rework hits. Let's have a little rundown, shall we?

RNG reliant: check and double check. He lives and dies by RNG. His laning involves jumping on someone and praying to RNG gods. Oh, and his main basic spell CD is RNG reliant too. Do you win or lose lane against Trynd? You can never say. Only RNG will tell.

Feels punishing to play good against: Karma once had a passive that gave her AP based on missing %HP. It got removed because, a direct quote for Riot: "You felt punished for doing well - as she would get stronger the more damage you do to her." Tryndamere gets the same kind of ability - except he a.) has it amplified by RNG and b.) can stay extremely low without dying to (ab)use it the most.

Low counterplay: His W. With a simple click of a button Trynd instantly wins trades against any melee champions.

Hidden/underappreciated power: Again, his W. Removing 80 AD from every person on other team with no form of counterplay? That's 14400 (!) gold of stats down the drain. For comparison, Sona's aura giving a quarter of that was considered too much of hidden/underappreciated power to be allowed to exist.

False choices: Guess what? W again. Honestly, this spell is broken beyond belief. Not OP by definition, but broken as all hell. Fightning is not an option because of massive AD penalty, and running is not an option because of a huge, long duration, non-decaying slow. I believe I recall Xypherous or Meddler once saying that they'd never implement somethong like DotA's Bloodseeker ultimate because of false choices. Yet we have Tryndamere's W unchanged for years.

Low interaction: Oh hell yes. Trynd's playstyle is: just push lane, ignore everything. If you get ganked kill them if they are 1 or 2 and/or escape with your invulnerability. Rinse and repeat.

you successfully articulated years of my tryndamere-based anger, frustration, and grief. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Honestly I think all resorceless champ defy Rito's balancing logic, and that's coming from someone that's secondary main is Gnar.

tryn doesn't get "lucky" crits

he gets unlucky for not getting a crit

35% crit chance is NOT "lucky" if he swings at you more than once

So let me get this straight, you are mad because he is farming his lane, you are mad when he gets shutdown, and you are mad if he managed to crit you. Because I'm not going to bother wasting my time looking at all your match history, I'm going to assume you just never figured out what armor does against him. OR better yes here is a old secret I tell everyone to do but laugh in my face because they feel like it never works. -> Teemo

If you look at it, you'll find no trynd in my games. That doesn't stop me from recognizing cancerous play styles :).

Actually it kinda does...You can't argue anything unless you play for and against it. That would be like them JUST now releasing Karthus to this new mage rework and say "We just gave a champion that has a global auto hit attack" How many people would scream broken before they actually learned how it worked on scale?

NineTailedMystic4 votes

So he's a baddie and needs to learn to play if he recently played with/against him recently because obviously he got trashed by one, or he needs to play with/against one because he doesn't know otherwise. wat.

ViashinoWizard12 votes

His point is solid, though. Tryndamere's kit leads to a binary, non-interactive play style both for his opponents and for Tryndamere himself. He's incredibly difficult to duel but has terrible teamfighting unless ridiculously fed compared to the other team, so all he can really do is splitpush and occasionally swing by to pick off stragglers.

Atleast unlike tryndamere Teemo actually provides some meaningful things 1.He makes most Adc's completely useless for 2.25 seconds 2.His R is great for vision/sudden random finishing damage 3.Even when behind you can't sneeze at Teemo's dmg,his Ratio's are pretty decent you can't ignore his auto attacks and the slow on his ult is pretty annoying at unfortunate times

I think he meant that Teemo is nice counter to tryn, i must say, seeing full built tryn with nearly 100% crit chance dealing 0 dmg to you is hilarious. Teemo Teemo Teemo

Please don't touch my ap tryndamere.

Tryndamere is fine as he is..we need some champs with binary styles and a bit luck based even if you like it or not .-.

AbrahamBaconham8 votes

Why?

some ppl find fun gambling stuff like trynd crits and he is not even nearly as obnoxious vs stuff like Fiora a feed Riven or tank Ekko

Well, tryndamere gets destroyed by armour, and if he split pushes top, someone has to stop him or he will kill your inhib. So it won't be a 4v5, it will be a 4v4 or 4v3 because tryndamere got fed and you need 2 people to deal with him. (Like all other top laners) also, he is more likely to not crit than crit, to be fair. Also, if you see tryndamere, the best thing to do is camp the fuck out of him early game before he hits 6. Because of his crit he will push the wave unless he is being super reserved, which he won't, because everyone hates him and assumes it's a lost lane and let's him push. Also, a smart teemo or Quinn top just fucks him.

If you can't figure out how to beat Trynd with his ult up, you have a problem. Trynd is not the problem.

Serpents Embrace1 votes

All of this.

Every time I see a Tryn I cringe. If he's on my team I know I'm going to be frustrated whether we're winning or losing overall. We're gonna be losing fights and objectives but he'll be able to backdoor something else.

And when you're against him, he's even more frustrating because the ultimate makes him difficult to stop even when you do strategically outplay him or his team.

See, for me the biggest problem with trynd has to do more with his passive than anything. While having extra free crit % is nice, it also kinda forces him to duck and dodge in teamfights just to put up relevant damage numbers. Changing the crit-stacking element of his passive to a permanent boost (which capped at something like 45%) would allow him to function a bit like an offensive sion, while giving him the same counters he's had before.

DemainaNyx1 votes

If there is a Trynd, you know what he's going to do. There's no guessing. All you have to do is group and push mid and you win. He'll be off splitpushing the entire game. That or once you see him, get your team to converge. That ult only lasts so long and then he's just as killable as anyone else.

He is linear, that's why he isn't played in the pro scene. Lane swapping shuts him down. Same with a Nasus. Watch him try to stack minions with an ADC and support chunking him down. The linear champs are good in their roles, but easy to counter if you have the team to do it with.

For sure, Tryndamere needs a rework. He's notoriously binary, low on interaction and incapable of functioning well in teamfights, which is why he inevitably splitpushes top in most games. Personally, I'd like crit to be reworked along with his kit, because the stat still has no real gameplay and causes serious problems when present in lane, with Trynd being the poster boy for just how badly things can go wrong. His power needs to be moved away from RNG, and he needs to give his opponents significantly more options beyond simply not standing in his attack range. He also needs his kit to be more interesting: the base effects to his abilities (e.g. his self-heal scaling with Fury, his slow, his dash and ult) are pretty solid, but a lot of his power comes from stat-mancing, i.e. the AD and crit from his innate and Q, and the AD reduction on his W, which isn't so great. He doesn't need to be especially complicated, since his core fantasy is smashing people with a big sword, but his gameplay could stand to be a bit less one-note.

Trynda is in a bad spot, but what about Aatrox - champ with even more toxic kit, that's not played, because his base hp is garbage for a fighter (only Morde and Yasuo have lower hp as melee champions) and he lose like 30 % of it for using abilities.

tryndamere need a rework because alot of champ been added alot of champ been reworked and the game gone full retard mode

I main Quinn who is better equipped than most champions to deal with him, but I can still see his bullshit honestly & loathe playing against him with anyone else.

You don't want him reworked. Vlad went against RIOTs goals and now look at the shape he's in.

And Tryn actually currently has above a 50% winrate. Unlike Vlad before or after.

Build rageblades AOE passive into tryndas Q, give his ult 50% tenacity.

As someone that religiously mained Trynd for over 5 years...I would like a rework but not one that gets him insta banned.

Tryndamere is one of the few champs I can truly say I don't want to see on my team or the enemy team.

Mazariamonti1 votes

can singed get similar treatment? It's like people have this secret love for this champion making discussing just how stupid he is almost impossible. No interaction is bad, riot says? Meanwhile there's champion(s) (tryndamere too) whose whole existence is to excel in not fighting you, or even Laning against you in the case of Singed, and to punish you for even attempting to deal with them.

Bobloser35551 votes

I think that is good Singed is different from other Champions.

your absolutely right, singed is toxic

so don't chase him

not even on the boards

I am probably one of the outliers in this thread, but I think he is fine.

He is a low skill-cap champion that is simple and pretty rewarding to use. He is an effective top laner that can split-push and deal damage in a teamfight. He can jungle as well.

My only issue with Tryndamere is that almost everything he does is telegraphed. I have a very good idea what skill Tryndamere will use in a fight, skirmish, or duel prior its use. This means his style of play is a bit predictable. Lower elo players have trouble with him due to his ult, but better players hold up really well against him in laning phase.

I like laning against tryndamere because he is predictable, which may mean he needs some minor adjustments to his kit. His slow or spin could change but the heal and ult are too critical to his kit. Perhaps make his passive provide heals when he crits or right after ulting and then change his heal to something else entirely.

I think simple champions are important to the game and lower the barrier of play for new players. I am opposed to eliminating or changing split-push champions because I don't think every game requires a "teamfight to win" strategy.
