Is it possible to climb low elo as supp?

So tight now I'm bronze 3 and I LOVE to play supp. It's so satisfying to start fights and peel teammates. But the only problem is that I think it might be hard to climb out of bronze as support. Is it possible, or should I switch to another lane?

Yes, especially if you're playing a carry support like Zyra, or Brand.

It's totally possible! I've done it several times. Just have to get a few that you're good at and that can do things on their own without necessarily being reliant upon their ADC. To be fair, I used to main Raka and Sona and did quite well with those, but Raka might be a bit harder to climb with. Leona is in a really good spot right now and so is Taric, so you might look into both of those if you haven't already. They can do some damage while also providing shields and cc, and in Taric's case healing.

Yes, it is since if you are a good support your ADCs will win more, which has a big impact on the game. It probably won't be as fast as an actual carry, because you won't be able to carry a whole bad team by yourself like you can on other positions, of course unless you play a carry as support.

Mages supports like Annie, Brand Lux and Zyra will have a easier timer carrying (if you're actually good) since they are less dependant on their adc/team.

Good Thresh but bad teammates? Land a hook and perfect initiation, only for your team to leave you to die since you can't kill the enemy by yourself.

Good Annie with bad teammates? Who cares, one-shot their squishies. Which also might help them catch up since you help them get a lead, even if they're bad.

There's nothing worse than playing an initiating support, only to have your adc afk farming while you engaged on them.

As a player who had a 71% winrate as Thresh in “bronze” i’d Say yeah

If you want to stomp low elo, I'd play Sona. That's what I did way back when.

Low elo doesn't know how to trade right. They take hits and don't retaliate because of the damage they took, all without realizing that Sona doesn't have any attacks after that one Q attack. So, in low elo, Sona can easily abuse bad laning habits from others, which everyone has because it's low elo. She also carries a bit of utility to actually support people, rather than banking on stomping and snowballing like Annie support.

Also, Annie support sucks. If you're gonna do that, you might as well play Brand.
