I am a level 17 summoner and i was wondering if when i use xin top lane should i rush or each has their own drawbacks and was wondering what you thought has the good lifesteal and the shield capabaility that works great with xin but is very expensive and usualy havet to wait around with nothing but a vamp scepter to get my bf sword also has life steal but not as much it also has the cutlass wich is helpfull and since xin is basic attack oriented the passive on ruined king helps out too the attack speed is also nice

i have tried both ways and i can not decide which way too go

Build Botrk, as it's cheaper, gives attack speed and mobility which Xin needs and has % health shred which is useful against most other toplaners.

This. However to answer your question as a huge fan of BT I think BOTRK is way better on xin due to the utility specifically synergizing with his hit (the active and the attack speed).

When I was xin (jg admittedly) I was able to take on a skirmisher/devourer vayne because I had knockup/gap closer/botrk slow/Randuin's slow/smite slow/flash/pink trinket. Honestly much less and I wouldn't have been able to take her down especially with their Thresh sticking to her like a magnet. Since xin is melee you really want anything you can get to magnetize yourself to enemy champions.

whats even better is having a duble botrk aka devourer + botrk

item 3074 It gives you just as much dueling power as the other two if you use the active and gives nice aoe for teamfights, but mostly, it gives great waveclear, which is lane-Xin's biggest weakness.
