Matchmaking: Why it is Broken

I've recently had several games where I wind up with less than stellar teammates. It happens, right? Not everyone is going to perform at their best all the time. But I came to find that in these cases, the teammates I had were several summoner levels below me. Why are they even paired up with me? Shouldn't matchmaking be based on level and number of games, rather than being completely random? The latest game had an incredibly hilarious discrepancy, where two of my teammates were below level 16, and the enemy Shaco had over 1000 victories on account. How is any of this fair to me? Why should I be saddled with the dead weight of a newcomer when the other team has someone highly experienced? The point is, the current matchmaking system needs to be revamped. I'm tired of having teammates that fail to communicate, listen, or learn from their mistakes.

It makes no butt-fucking sense whatsoever. I've been in games where one side had a collective 5,000 win advantage. Not games played. WINS. I had a picture on my old computer commenting on the fact that the enemy team member with the least amount of wins still had 63 times as many wins as the lowest on my team. Un. Fucking. Real.

And another time, I just happened to look on lolnexus to find that the enemy team was over 30 combined ranked divisions higher than my team (I counted). 30! Yes, I know, Ranked MMR =/= Normal MMR, but give me one good reason why this is, or why, when every member is higher ranked than every member of my team, they can still collectively obtain an average MMR close enough to match against my team? They can't. The system fucking sucks.

Is it fair to you? Not really.

However, notice that there are not that many new players (relative to the general population of players, mind you) coming into the game and so the minority of people are below level 30. Would it be fair to new players to never be able to get matched with anyone (because there are relatively so few new players) so that they could actually learn to play the game? No.

Ive recently had several games where I wind up with less than stellar teammates. ** wow in pre-30? no way.**

It happens, right? ** yes very often when you don't even have runes or masteries.**

Not everyone is going to perform at their best all the time. ** including you.**

But I came to find that in these cases, the teammates I had were several summoner levels below me. ** waiting 10 minutes < having varying summoner levels **

Why are they even paired up with me? ** because it shouldn't matter.**

Shouldnt matchmaking be based on level and number of games, rather than being completely random? ** its based on skill, level and number of games should mean nothing at all. wtf?**

The latest game had an incredibly hilarious discrepancy, where two of my teammates were below level 16, and the enemy Shaco had over 1000 victories on account. ** Yes, learn from shaco, dont get mad because the LEARNING queue that can't assess skill of LEARNING players accurately because everyone LEARNS differently, probably is unfair. Don't rage post btw.**

How is any of this fair to me? ** Maybe, suggesting you stop playing league because ALOT of stuff is going to bother you, and I dont want you to break that summoners code yo. **

Why should I be saddled with the dead weight of a newcomer when the other team has someone highly experienced? ** you ARE a newcomer, and most certainly dead weight. And 1000 wins is pretty much nothing.**

The point is, the current matchmaking system needs to be revamped. ** Hah. no.**

Im tired of having teammates that fail to communicate, listen, or learn from their mistakes. ** So is everyone, that doesn't make matchmaking unfair, that makes the players tilted, bad, or mad, 2 of those matchmaking will never be able to predict.**

Oh and btw. I can guarentee you are exactly the same as the people you complain about. Mind fucking blown right? Welcome to league, life isn't fair and neither is this game, abuse it.

the idea of having 1,000 normal wins just blows me away

like how could someone stomach that many normals

Dude, ILL. No one is reading your replies in that format. Stop.

p.s. Just had a lane enemy 16 divisions above myself. I guess he beat me because of the fair matchmaking. Oh no, it was the enormous skill gap, that btw, was enjoyed by top and jungle as well. Welcome to Riot games, everyone.

Lately I've been paired with unranked/under-30 teammates vs ranked teammates in norms. It's like Riot expects me to prove myself and single-handedly carry the game as the support.

Which I almost did one game with heavy usage of pings and instructions, but the troll ADC who had fed and kept trying to 1v5 the enemy finally made the one mistake that screwed us all over.

Rito why. This norm hell is more frustrating than ranked.
