Honestly considering quitting ranked

I've been trapped in bronze for quite a while now, trying to escape by carrying my teams kicking and screaming. I've encountered some of the WORST players during these attempts, a full attack speed Sona, a Garen that refused to leash or play passively against a Pantheon, and a Akali and Ereal that fed so hard it completely offset my domination as Sion. I feel like there's a fundamental problem with ranked when players can just afk, build completely ineffective items, or outright feed, and yet they are still allowed to continue throwing games in ranked. I feel like it'd be much more successful for everyone if there was an afk detection system or an abandon buffer to help lower the amount of IP lost or if abandoned early enough/not even connecting would allow the team to leave without penalty. Likewise it might be effective for players who intentionally build items like Statik Shiv on Sona to actually have reports impact them. Perhaps not a ban from the entire game, but a temp ban from ranked. I just want SOME kind of system to help players who actually want to climb in ranked achieve that without trolls/feeders keeping them chained down.
