I feel you. I just lost one of my Silver IV promotional games because my MMR was so high that my teammates were Gold V. The "gold" teammates fed, both in bot at top. I highly doubt that they were trying their hardest, because it would have been quite difficult for them to climb through silver not knowing how to play safe. Our ADC went 2/7, and our top laner repeatedly died under tower (something like 5 times in 15 minutes?). As a jungler, I counterganked, warded other people's lanes, got multiple kills/flashes in each lane before 20 minutes, and even got complimented by the enemy team for doing well. Ironic that the "gold" people are what is holding me back from being considered worthy of silver 3. I remember being exasperated back in bronze because my teammates were playing strangely - wandering through jungle, face checking, not pushing objectives, etc. - but that's to be expected in bronze. But Gold V, no one cares, so if they mess up and die early, they just keep on dying and spam surrender. It wasn't until I mentioned I was in my promotionals that they apologized and said I played well and did everything I could.
Of course, mentioning you are in your promos in the beginning of a game is just giving trolls ammo they can't resist, so it's kind of a lose/lose situation.
