Should Kayn Have A Better Scaling Late Game!

Hey Everybody,

My Name Is UprisingRival & I Would Like To Discuss On

Can Kayn Have A Better Late Game Scaling

Note : Without Reading This Discussion Please Dont Dislike It

So Lets Get Right Into It

So I Know Many Players Dont Like Kayn For There Own Reasons No Hate For Them, But Some Players Like Me Love Kayn And Love The Way His Kit Works

But, I Think He Was Nerfed Harder Than He Needed To Be

Kayn Is In A Spot Where He Is Not So Op Or Weak But, Here Is The Thing

He Doesn't Feel As Good As Other Assassin In Late Game He Is Good In Mid Game But Falls Bad Late Game, Darkin Which Used To Be Better Than Shadow Assassin Is Okay To Pick Up, But His Damage Doesn't Feel Satisfactory

For Example Lets Take Zed Killing/One Shot A ADC At Any Moment In The Game Feels So Good While Playing Him

This Is The Same Case As With Talon Is Preseason, When He is Reworked He Fell Off Late Game, But Now He Is In A Better Spot

But For Shadow Assassin Kayn He Falls Off Late Game, Mid Game It Fells Soo Good To KIll/One Shot A Carry, But The Farther The Game Goes He Falls Off He Can No Longer Burst A Carry.

I Would Like To End The Discussion Right Here. There Is A Poll Down There Vote If You Want Kayn To Have A Better Scaling Game Or Not!!

Thanks For Reading.

New rule: until they drop to 6300, please do not balance new champs. We need to let players adjust to the changes he brings.

EDIT: We should also consider how he's going to interact with builds. Niche builds leaning champions out of balance are common these days.

its far too early to buff or nerf this champion.

I've seen him pop off and I've seen get blown the fuck up almost every time he tries to do anything.

I've seen his ganks be nasty, and I've seen him try to predictably cheese through the walls only to be counterganked immediately.

His damage is high enough to be a threat already. that much is sure. they wanted him to be a melee carry, well he sure as shit does that.

but let's wait before we even touch him. he has two really strong mechanics in his E and R. once people figure out how to abuse those the best, then you can look at buffs/nerfs.

people are still figuring out builds as well. people dont know whether to go full lethality assassin or bruiser with health/dmg items and tanky stats.

He Doesn't Feel As Good As Other Assassin In Late Game

Seems like u don't play other assassin. Talon fall off too. i can bet u aren't an assassins main... Anyway ur job is to not let the late game happen. Adc can 1v1 assassin during late easly

Imo Kayn has some insane burst in shadow form with darkin scythe empowers all attacks with 45% extra magic damage

oh he was nerfed? xD i thought this was his release state and i was expecting buffs ahah. gotta start playing the game again.

You understand that he is weak early game, because he only has half his kit till he tranforms. Shadow assasin form will probably get buffed, seeing how there are many posts of it being weak.

I think we should wait at least until next patch or so until we make changes to Kayn. That way we can get a better read on the champion and if he needs changes or not.

It's obvious that Darkin is better than Shadow Assassin for a few reasons:

  • Kayn doesn't have a reliable escape like other assassins, so being a diver (Darkin) suits him better
  • (My opinion) Darkin works better with the items they build than Shadow Assassin, as Shadow Assassin's passive doesn't work well with the lethality items you usually build
  • Kayn's ultimate is not a high damage burst, so Shadow Assassin Kayn can't use it extremely well (it's not a bad ability, let's him dodge CC and allows him to reset his passive, just the ultimate itself isn't a big damage move)
  • Having massive damage isn't always the way to go, having CC and sustain can work much better than just damage

It is still pretty toxic for any champion to oneshot any other champion, so I can't feel your pain. Last Kayne I saw was building tank as well, so he better not be oneshotting.

Thankfully you aren't building tank and complaining. But you also only have 6 games?

If anything, Kayn should be slightly stronger early game. He's weaker than nearly every other assassin or fighter in the game.
