NA server has been shut down completely, Forever. Riot made a twitter post about how they're pulling out of NA due to NA's excessive amount of toxicity. They're taking a stand against toxicity and cutting it off at the source, NA Closed for good.

I was in the middle of a game and it said "attempting to reconnect, so I closed out league to reopen and now it says "unavailable"....Will I be punished for AFK? lol

I doubt it, since in order for you to be punished for afking you gotta get reported. and i'm assuming since the whole server went down, No one saw the post-game lobby. and therefore couldn't send in a report :D

Actually you don't even have to be reported at all for being "afk". I got DC'd during a match and I had to completely restart my computer and when I got back after the game leaver buster hit me with a "Lower priority Que" time. item 3073

But in a circumstance like this where the whole game was going down for maintenance it'll be counted as a loss prevention.

Bullshit.

The system is completely automated, as you get punished immediately after a game ends. Frankly, I'm not even sure if the "AFK/idling" report option does jack.

I've also remember a farce, like a week after the Leaverbuster was updated.

Half of people who were in-game when server problems happened_(the EUNE/EUW game servers basically shut down for a few solid hours)_, had to accept this bullshit "I will never ever never ever AFK again, I swear on me mum" message.

We didn't get a sorry, nor had this "flag" removed from our accounts.
