Regarding Ahri's "High and Lows"
As of late, Ahri has had quite some speculation and discussion, without any mathematical relationships as far as numbers or attainable details concerning what kind of work or direction she is heading. Besides the vague responses of her testing, that "testing ... still looking for ways to make her(Ahri) highs higher and her lows lower ..."
If i may interject, doesn't every champion in this game perform well when doing well and performs badly, when doing just that. What i get from that quote, is an attempt to blow her out of the water OP like nasus when ahead. Any champion doing poorly falls behind in some way, but that doesn't quite make up for the fact that the champion can be carried by the other 4 members of her team(When their doing well). So the highs and lows quote makes absolutely no perceptive attempt at bringing any kind of relevancy or arguable analysis to the table.
Other than the simple fact you guys have no clue what direction you want to go, because you and i both know, that simple adjustments, to either her raw damage numbers(base numbers ratios) won't really fine tune her it just makes her stronger and broken, because she wont, necessarily have to hit shots(due The Ahri's who max W second after Q and the few that straight max W).
The point of this all, is are you attempting to make her skill shot based and rewarding her for doing so? Is that what defines a great Ahri from a mediocre Ahri like season 4 charm amplification buffs. Then just do it. I get the small community of Ahri players prefer raw damage, remember when i asked you guys for a W base damage increase to original S3 status(this was pre-season 5) and it turned out aweful. But now that her numbers have been tuned down damage wise and made her more skill shot based than ever. Are you guys attempting to move her away from this, by allowing Ahri the ability to just Rush in and obliterate people. If that's the case, why was she nerfed S7 with gunblade? You guys took my idea of shifting W power to E, but you guys also tuned her R ratios as well. I was taken back by the R changes, but i have had more fun on Ahri with the power shift than i have on her since S4. The Q boost does play a role in that entertaining, mage like role.
So going back to the highs and lows comment, even though her pick rate has been sitting between 5%-6%. That is far better than a 20%+ pick rate. Her highs should be her being powerful because she focuses and lands her shots throughout the game, making picks, kiting, while maneuvering through enemies lines for disruption and finding unique creative and perfectly timed situations for her to rush. She should have lows because she didn't hit her shots and therefore shouldn't be rewarded as such. Wasn't that the 20% charm amp? Being, as you know, one of the Ahri's who actually max R>Q>E>W. That revert would probably be best. Leaves the other Ahri's in a state, to question do they want more damage? Land E. For Charm Ahri's its like second nature to them and will help single target rotation damage.
Again you guys always manage to pull something creative out of the hat, so I'm not worried, just you guys seem to be maybe over-complicating things. Just thought i'd throw a possible old idea out there, since LeBlanc
is getting a revert. Just replace Q boost with E amp for Ahri. Probably helps reduce uncertainty as to what defines highs and lows for Ahri
. I simply looked at what you told Ahri's S4 and originally in her champion spotlight. She won't get far without hitting her shots, it's a different game for Ahri when she hits her shots especially when It's because we hit our E.
