@Riot. Can we please have champions instead of 100 IP/rune?

I for one don't care about the IP. I totally get why Riot cant refund 100% of the IP spent on runes, it would break the new system. What I do care about is not having my veteran account turned into a noob account because of the fact that I invested the IP on runes instead of champions. Over the years, one could had spent IP on several things but primarily either champions or runes. Why should I loose more than someone that spent all their IP on champions instead? they are both ways of collecting in game content.

So, please give us free champions equal to that we spent on the runes, and keep the IP. Sounds fair to me. Your new system wont overflow on IP, and we wont have hours and hours of time turned into dust.
