Is Wukong SUPPOSED to be an assassin
He plays like one, and when he doesn't play like one he feels super weak. Also riot keeps calling hima fighter

supposed to be divers but both of them work as assassin.
There was once a time when he had to actually build some tanky items but still did good damage. Now he's just flat out an assassin.
he used to be listed as a fight/assassin so yeah, he has stealth and burst he can be built assassin so yes
He is legit the any champ left in the game where his build matter more then him as a champ.
He never was designed as an assassin, but all the ridiculous items/runes have made that the best way to play him hands down. How many assassins have free resists in their kit and huge AoE CCs?
The way he is currently hes one of the most reliable and safe assassins because he cant actually fall behind. Almost any assassin when behind is useless but wukong brings so much utility with his ult that he never does. His win rate reflects this for sure. I cant even tell you how many times im smashing a wukong as khazix but he hits 6 and im dead before i hit the ground in a duel with him. Never mind he was 0/3 and i was 6/0.... once he gets a black cleaver or his jg item your back line is essentially removed from the game.
Riot really needs to decide whether hes an assassin or bruiser and nerf him accordingly, you really shouldn't have good AD ratios, great base damage, utilty and high base stats in a kit like his. It's just too much.
Wukong is supposed to be a fighter, but functions best as an assassin. He is a mediocre tank/bruiser, but an excellent assassin if you play him right.
He's not supposed to be an assassin, that's why he's busted right now, because damage is so high in the current meta that he can work as an assassin instead of a bruiser. If all damage was nerfed by 20% in the game, he would be brought right back in line with the rest of the champion pool.
Wukong is supposed to be a bruiser. He has a passive that gives him resistance and hit ult is DoT.
