Honor Badge's On or Off ?

Hi all,

I was kinda interested about the honor badges where people get if they get above a amount of votes like 100+ i don't remember and they get the teamwork, honor..etc badge. Is that still on of they took it off? i see really few people with it. I had in the past when the system came online honor badge but some people reported me and i got ban and all my stats was 0,0,0,0 so after a lot of months I got about 140 teamwork, 80+ honors..etc but still didn't hot badge as old days.

What's going on? they don't give anymore badges?

Riot if you don't then take the stats off it's totally useless stats.

Honor badges still exist, but you have to get a certain number of honor points in a smaller number of games to get it. If you get 140 teamwork but it's over the course of 300 games then it won't count. If you get 30 teamwork over the course of 15 games, then you're more likely to get the badge. You don't need to maintain that "honor rate" to keep the badge, but you still need to get some honor every few games or you'll lose it, too.

Possibly. Either way, the main reason people don't get honor badges anymore is because the initial excitement of the system wore off pretty quickly so now people don't give it out as much, unless they're particularly impressed with a team mate's efforts or friendliness.

When the system came online 1st time i hot honor badge in the 1st week, now i got 80+ honors and nothing

Because people were giving honor out at a lot higher rate back then. It's the (short term) rate that matters, not the total honor.

I don't know the algorithm, but it's something roughly like this.

It looks at your last 20 games, and if you get over X honor in a certain category it awards a badge.

So if you get 30 honor in 20 games, you could get a badge, but if you get 15 honor in 20 games (since you got that 80 honor over 100 games) you don't get a badge. This is NOT the exact algorithm but it's something similar to that.

How is it bullshit? If they didn't have this sort of algorithm then playing more games would mean getting the honor badge even if people are acting nicer than you are. It's the only algorithm that makes mathematical sense, even if it's clearly failing.

The only modification I'd make is to adjust it for the average amount of honor given out in a given MMR bracket and region. That's not easy to do in a way that would consistently work, though, since it'd involve collecting a lot of statistical data.
