Random reports ?! / Censored swearing words ( **** ).

If a person report you for something that you didn't done the report still counts?

Can I know exactly how a report system works? Who's responsible for the report system or it's just a automatic random report that actually gives you the punishment for something that you didn't done.

Censored swearing words ( ** ) / stars.

If a word is covered by Riot swearing system why that's still counts as a offensive language? People can't see what you typed or they can guess but they can't see it, if i get a report for that why that still counts as a punishment?

Don't swear at your teamates just because you think they have a filter... Even if they have their filter turned on, they still know you are cussing at them.

Filter on and off? never heard of that option before but even if there is a filter option to turn it on and off it's people decision to read every swearing, Riot put that filter for people above +16 / +18 even if kids play why they turn the fillter off and report others. There is no sens from riot side to put a swearing filter option and report for swearing.

There is a single reason to do that when they play that game just to destroy your enjoy. But Im not here to make that kind of questions. My question is why there is a swearing filter option that you can turn it on and off but no age limits. A kid under 18 will report you for that but a person +18 will swear too if needed and by having that filter on why there is even a report for that??

If people falsely report you it wont do anything. Also the reporter will lose credibility in the system. Even if it is censored it is still a swear word. If I don't have censors on I will see the swear word even though other may not.

But the censored word with stars "***" if blocked so people can't see what you typed, you could just simple type stars not swearing words why would that be a problem for people and why would that be a report and panishment thing?

It only blocks it if you have censors turned on. If you say the f word and you have censors, it will show ** for you. But for me (if I have censors off) it will say the f word.

Attacking someone using swear words and the such would be a bad things b/c negative behavior/harassment.

Yea but tell me please why there is even a filter option? If you have the filter off and you can read the swearing word you must be above +18 age and you will not care meanwhile the filter if off then there should not be a report for that.

But Riot logic is filter off or on there would be a report for that anyway, even if i type just stars people can imagine anything as a swearing word.

Filter is defaulted on. And it just filters words for you. If you are typing with an intent to attack some verbally it doesn't matter if you use swear words or not.

So that's why there should be a balance between, AGE - SWEAR FILTER - REPORTS.

because you ain't get free reports for something that other people think that you sweared, abused or used offensive language.

Swearing in and of itself is not punishable, Rioters have mentioned that.

Swearing at someone else could be punishable, and context matters there.

As someone who has the chat filter on (and who doesn't swear themselves, sorry if you were looking for examples of what's fine and what's not), there are some words that slip through the filter, even though they're spelled correctly. There are also many people who add extra letters to the word to make it get through, or miss-spell it in their haste.

Yea but that's Riot problem not players problem, there is other online games with advantaged systems that block swearing words even if people add extra letters, a simple game that i know is from kongregate flash game and Riot with his million game can't put a better system? :D aahah

But the point I wanna give is if there is a filter option then there should be a age limit too. You turn the filter on because you don't care if other swear and because you are +18 then the system should take off the report.

Other thing is if there is a filter stars *** for swearing why when people report you, you get punishment? I can just type stars people brains can imagine anything as a swearing.

Make the system better and don't play with players life.

I feel like you're missing the point. It's not the words, it's how you're using them.

I could say "I'm playing like crap" (or use swear words) and the system wouldn't care.

I could say "Blast! Can't believe he got away!" and the system wouldn't care.

But as soon as I say "You piece of crap ADC, how'd you let them get away!", and I'm not the ADC, the system cares. Even though I didn't swear, that's when it starts to matter.

The way Natural Language Processing for computers works, it might use swear words as key points to look closer at, but context gets picked up.

There you go, you gave a perfect example.

There is Reports for offensive language, verbal abuse, harasment (all 3 using just the chat), now there is a swearing / chat filter that try to filter the most offensive words and that filter filter them in stars *** but in this case other people can't see the swearing words why would that be as report and punishment?

Other think is why there even is a offensive language filter if there is no age limit to use it ? daahhh!! Logic 0%

The last thing is if the ADC is bad / feeding / intensionaly feeding the enemy team just to make us lose (ok at this point you may say just report him) but inside me I just wanna type in /all chat that "You piece of crap ADC, why you feed, why do you even play this game!", that will be as a report for me?
