Aatrox's Current state
now, i understand, and i'm pretty sure i might not be the only one that feels the same, but whenever i play as Aatrox and gain the lead, i do feel like i'm still Weak, i'm still Squishie compared to my counterparts and i don't feel like i'm delivering the supposed damage, and the fact that he's 1 of the best duelists in the game is not quite true, most if not all duelists have some sort of a burst damage, here and there, in addition to the sustain DPS.
Aatrox ONLY holds DPS, and he still needs to charge Auto counts in order for him to be doing something, 2 out of 6 AAs, will either 1 of them will boost your AA and the other will heal (cause trust me, after 6 AAs, you will need to heal considering the amount of damage you're being dished back but, by no means i feel like i can Burst people down, even when i'm ahead. i honestly think Aatrox is a champion that can, Take down towers and split-push effectively.
and i think his W, is a real problem. every 3rd Attack is a bit too much for a champion that can't chain from his own kit (example: Vi's Q and E towards her passive W)
so hear me out how about instead of having Aatrox hits for 200 + (100% Bonus AD) on every 3rd attack, he now instead have 66 + (33% of Bonus AD) on each attack ofcourse i'm Talking about his W at level 5.
Basically, instead of having every 3rd attack doing the damage, every attack will deal damage, so if he attacked you 3 times, you will get damaged for almost the same amount of damage you would've normally get on his current 3rd Attack, and ofcourse the health price, would be, Per attack.
now i haven't thought much about the numbers, but this is my initial idea, and i think this would help Aatrox so much as an AS Champion
you can Think of it, as Udyr's Tiger Persistent Effect, except without the Stance Activation Bonus damage...
