Zed, difficult or easy?

So, I just played Zed for I believe the first time, may have played him in the past, but if I did it was a max of 2 times. I went 11/5 I think. Not a good score by any means, but okay for first time Id say. The main part of this post is that in the end game lobby, someone asked if he was hard and i quickly replied no because I really really find him easy. I then proceeded to be flamed, people accusing me of "Acting like I was better than everyone else" for saying Zed was easy. So, was it just those people, or do people actually find Zed hard? Just curious.

Easy to learn, hard to master. He has a ton of outplay potential, but you dont even need that neccessarily. You can also win by just pushing relentlessly and then roaming.

Some ppl have problems aiming Q's while casting E Botrk ignite when ulting' so that might be why ..

Its weird, He takes skill, no doubt about that but first games are always weird like that. My first game aatrox about 2 days ago i went 17/6/12 even though aatrox is absolutely terrible. Zed takes skill to be good, but he can be forgiving to new players to him that have a base understanding of what he is.

eh, his kit is just simple. PS. Aatrox is a damn beast. Idk why people think he's bad.

He is bad because he has to build bork/hydra first. that delays him from getting key items that makes a jungle bruiser good. He lacks the kind of cc other junglers do too. His sustain is really really good though. Idk, I'm not a good jungler so I obviously don't have the same experience with him that you do. He does have a lot of potential if your able to get fed as him. I don't think playing him is a good idea because at about the 5 minute mark people start complaining about ganks and Aatrox struggles in ganks because of how squishy he is before he gets cinder-hulk or at least parts to it on his first back. Yeah he does have good sustain in a gank but its never enough at that stage of the game. It just dawned on me that you might be talking about top aatrox lol. I might have been in the wrong ball park XD.

No, you're fine in saying that; you can say Zed is easy. But as to what happened in the lobby, I think they just misinterpreted it as bragging, somehow? That's what I would have to guess, without assigning alternative motives.

Idk. People are just weird. They asked for an opinion, I gave it, and they acted as if it was a wrong answer ;p I tried to explain why i thought he was easy (simple combo, escapes, high damage after just botrk) but i accidentally left ;p

I would say low floor, high cap.

At high level play, people are more prone to counter mind games and keep them up. As Zed, you need to burst down using 2 shadows AND yourself sometimes and keep spots open to escape or kill 3 targets when you're at a quarter health. He does take skill. But his harass and burst on one target is so immense that you can just auto think that he doesn't, because your damage output and the ult itself is just doing all your work unless they know how to counter you.

Zed is a machine who brings no utility to a team. So why is he played? Split push and pure outplaying. He can get jumped at half health by 2-3 people and end with a triple, or kill 1 and get away unscathed. He can engage and disengage at will and strategically as well as kill carries in the middle of their turrets or team. His options with such a simple toolkit are immense and that contributes to his high skill cap. But again, in lane and roaming at lower ELO, Zed's target burst is a blow up and makes him seem deceptively easy. Even at high ELO you can say that, but it is more common below. You have more factors the higher you go.
