Hard Question: Is LoL's Early Game Making things More or Less fun?

Early game isn't a time, it is before you have your second non-boot item finished.

It’s aids. I love having games be decided at level 3. (Sarcasm)

What champs do you play? I feel a lot of champs are left behind bc early game a lot of (risky) champs can do a lot of damage (therefore they are actually safer than safe champs).

Im a fan of going to full build and constant team fights. However it is nice that early game dictates the pace of the game. Nice to not have 60 games like we did a couple years back.

You are fine with laning dictating the entire game? As a player that safe picks blind and counterpicks whenever possible, I am against that. Because I will practically always be around even while laning at the worst, therefore giving me a chance to have a great influence on the team's cause... Most of the time you can not count on your teammates to at the least to do the same and therefore helplessly lose. Giving normal players chiller laning would give more good players more chance to influence games.

I like it. Little things in early game really matter throughout the game. It's a build-up phase, too, so if you're facing aggressive opponents, you can learn a lot about their will to dominate so you can see it coming for the next couple minutes and make the right decisions.

I like the game, but I find too much of the outcome comes during laning. That is why gold/plat is full of poor players that their entire game is "sometimes I win my lane" and that is about it. Subpar awareness and macro with cool plays few and far between. This also bc a lot of champs have a whole team's tools in their individual kits. I would like early to chill to get playmakers that don't do damage a time to get a foothold in a game and then make some plays later.

I'd say it's pretty fun.

What kind of champs do you like?

I'm a Jungler first and foremost. However, for the past year, I have been forcing myself to learn laning mechanics and champs. Between that and youtube channels like skill-capped opening my eyes to just how much macro mechanics and lane management can play a role in the early game, I always come into lane with a fresh challenge and game plan that I get to exercise, be it I'm playing Ziggs, Yasuo, Garen, Sion, Maokai, Wukong, or whatever the fuck I'm trying to get Mastery 7 on next.

As a jungler myself, I have been getting my best results when I play lanes too. Lanes are too volatile to have much impact if things go awry when I jungle.
