Looks like your cs is lower than it should be. Your "goal" should be about 10 cs a min, 8 at the lowest. work on that, get your items faster and you have a better chance of winning. That is the clearest thing since it looks like you know how to play kass and veigar well enough. If you look at the 11-4-4 kass game (go to etc. on tabs and click cs per champion) you had the lowest on your team besides your jg and your support. by quite a bit. Even if you roam try to keep your cs up as much as you can.

Oh okay, thats weird because according to my average cs im in the gold/plat rating with kassadin.

He is a very bad early game clear champ. Usually with kass you have to resort to roaming because you cannot cs against certain champs. You're the first person to suggest my cs in a while because its gotten so much better.

BladeSteel1 votes

yeah it isn't bad, but it isn't good either. you want to aim for 10 cs per min (hard to get but possible) but if you're higher than 8 you should be fine. with kass you might try to pick him only into champs he's good against so you can keep that cs up. I would imagine (not 100% sure) that the champs that kass is bad against, veigar can go even or is good against (if you play him right of course) just because of his extra range.

Im just not sure that more gold is going to change the teams im getting. I get that it changes the fact i get more gold and can carry harder, but when i think about the losses i get... Yeah more items wont fix it haha. So at a future date with teams who are not complete you know whats, yeah i need to work on my cs.

Im not saying your advice isnt helpful, i just find it odd that diamond/masters in the past didnt bring up my cs as kassadin. Their advice was to queue duo with a jungler or top laner. Practice other champions (because kassadin is a terrible champion). learn a different role like jg (since thats easiest role to carry from).

They all seemed to say I didnt belong in silver 5 but petty things are stopping me. Was curious for more advice.

BladeSteel1 votes

Yeh you would take their advice. Most of the problems with people from bronze-gold and sometimes plat have been what to do when you're ahead. Even higher elo players (i think i saw it once in a pantsaredragon video) if you don't transition your lead correctly you could lose. And teams don't effect as much as people think they do. 40% of games you will win b/c of your team 40% you will lose and the remaining 20% of games are ones that YOU can change. How YOU play those games will decide if you win or not, and when you start winning more of those, then you start climbing.

Just wondering - do you actually roam and try to help to another lane when you are actually ahead of your opponent (ie., kills + cs is ahead of your opponents)?

BladeSteel1 votes

You should be able to do both in a "perfect" game XD so yes that is what you should reach for. Diamond players can do it...so if you want to climb why not reach for the top instead of the mediocre?

Actually my post was aimed at the original poster - but I sympathize and agree with what you are saying.

Just start playing Kassadin or Veigar every game. You shouldn't have any trouble climbing with those winrates.

Doesnt work like that, I get pretty terrible teams.

Edit: last game had one inting, and one constant ping spam (by constant i mean didnt stop once during the whole game[which ive never even seen anyone that dedicated to ping spam on me])

Things like that happen to me a lot. (in regards to inting.)

sad part is they never get banned haha

Everybody gets pretty terrible teams. I assure you, if you have a 60%+ winrate champion, start playing that champion every game, and you will climb.

Its important to realize that your job in the game is not to analyze others and just try to figure out how you can improve every game. Stop focusing on winning, that comes naturally with time. Focus not only on your mechanics but ever aspect of the game and write down notes. Rank means nothing if you aren't learning. Mechanics only take people so far. So you need to learn not only to understand "This game isn't about me winning or gaining elo its about me improving as a player" and if you can do that you'll be gaining something more important than Elo. Experience & understanding.

Gregor Gysi1 votes

Listen to these guys, both have a point. Stick with a lane and the same few champions while focusing on your mistakes. This is what will get you to climb.

I work on my own game. If i feed early, i find a way to catch up and do 85% of the time. But a lot of the time catching up is not enough to carry a team who does not know how to catch up... If that makes sense?

It sucks to hear but the whole ""X" happened because of teammates" attitude is what keeps you down. Try playing any AD champ with mobility because even if your team sucks you can split and push objectives.

xxxDogmanxxx1 votes

Objectives. Prioritize them. Solo objectives if you can't rely on your team.

#reason you are losing is your attitude.

Don't worry about stat pages that say you are gold/plat level. Don't worry about bad teams.

Focus on your play. If you lose, watch the replay, record why you died. Read guides, consider build adjustments. Never be toxic. Ask yourself at all times, what can I be doing right now to bring us closer to victory. People mentally give up and their mistakes multiply. Mental fortitude alone is a major edge

Let me tell you, Silver is a shit pool where all the garbage ends up. When new accounts are made they start their promos right around your rank (Silver V). This means new players and Bronze players who thought making a new account would help them climb, hit level 30 and start playing ranked again, they're matched at a tier they don't belong in. This leads for difficult games as even a low Silver player easily shits on a new or Bronze tier player.

Don't listen to anyone who rambles about not playing well enough because I play certain champions as good as or better than Diamond / Master Tier players, especially with Riven. I consistently reach 8-13 CS per minute a game with Riven and can beat just about any other player in a low tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold) without a single issue. Even in games where I have 15+ kills they're uncarriable at times, although I wouldn't say that's always the case (example: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2450246370/201398777?tab=overview). League of Legends is a TEAM GAME. If you want to win it requires your teammates. If you have one or more teammates who don't belong in that tier dragging your team down it becomes EXTREMELY hard to win regardless of how good you are.

Look for someone who is a higher Tier than you that's willing to duo with you. Someone around Gold V (who actually has Silver I / Gold V MMR) is going to be your best bet. If you can actually play at that level you shouldn't have any problems climbing quickly as it'll boost your LP per win and also help you avoid players in promos with none or low winrates. If you duo and find that you are having a hard time with the enemy laner then the odds are you were ranked about right where you should have been, which would mean that you'd need to improve mechanically if you were really serious about climbing.

I am not sure just how good you are but the higher the duo partner you can find the better as it will give you much better gains and if you do get someone in their promos the odds will be more that they're someone who's actually winning their promos (i.e. smurf) as opposed to someone who's just a new account playing in a tier that they do not belong.

Probably because you belong in Bronze, but promo helper got you into silver and it's too hard to demote back.

He doesn't look like he belongs in Bronze from his match history. He has a positive win rate and performs well in the majority of his games. What are you smoking?

Maximum Morde1 votes

His attitude puts him in the belonging in Bronze category. Why am I stuck in X, it's other people's fault not mine, blah blah. That's the Bronze way.

This isn't Season 3/4, League of Legends isn't about carrying YOURSELF as much as it used to be. Before you could 1v5 and solo carry games if you had the mechanics and knowledge, that just simply is not the case anymore. Sure it's true that you can only improve yourself and not your team however in Silver ELO the system is terrible.

In Bronze, everyone is bad so having an unranked player is no big deal, at higher tiers (Gold IV+) you usually only end up with players who are winning their placements. If you are Silver, you are getting people in placements because they suck, they are losing. That's a proven fact. The system is designed that way. On this account, I literally so far have been unable to solo my way to Gold this season. The rate of getting these unranked players feeding in games is insane. Even in games where we somehow manage to win, the unranked player is always feeding badly. Recent game? (http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2453898090/201398777?tab=overview) who do you think the unranked player is? If you guessed Miss Fortune you are correct.

Silver isn't hard because players are good, it's difficult because the system is poorly designed.

Everyone has things they can work on, but this guy is doing well enough that he should be climbing regardless of what you think his attitude is.

Morde's comment is harsh but it's the truth. Im a freaking support main and ive gone from bronze 5 to gold 5 in my first season. Im loving the AP carry mages in the support role because I have cc/peel if my adc gets fed. If he doesnt I can build the damage to contribute anyway.

Maximum Morde1 votes

I'm using his attitude as a proxy for his decision making ability since I can't make a direct call on that without spectating. Believe it or not, decision making is more important than mechanical skill. You can get to plat/low diamond with mediocre mechanics as long as your ability to process and make decisions is strong. The same is not true if your mechanics are strong but your decision making is shit.

You can get fed all you want, but if you arent making the right plays with your advantage, it doesn't matter how fed you are. I can be Six item farmer in short order, pump my kda, but none of that matters if I don't actually push home my advantage, or appear on the map where I'm needed at the right time.
