[Positive feedback] about preseason to Riot :)

I see a lot of negative posts here that are upvoted by the same bunch of 80 people... So I need to tell Riot that I like preseason!

I really like preseason because this is the first time in a long while that the game doesn't have "dead time". At all points in the game, I feel like I'm planning some strategy. No longer are there phases where you need to wait and wait for objectives to spawn... Or walk around waiting for minions to come... Or losing your turret at 4 minutes and waiting for a comeback somehow... Waiting doesn't happen anymore. And I love it!

Announcing bounties is wonderful because it gives clear objectives of what to do, who's worth what amount of gold, and how we can take them down to come back.

Turret plating leaves room for a lot of different champions to thrive. Lane bullies will poke the plating down for gold, late-game oriented carries will be able to farm up in longer (safer) laning phases, junglers have more room to gank. When turrets do fall, the pace of the game moves very fast and you need to be on the top of your macro-game to keep up with the pace. Minions running down the lanes and objectives having bigger uptimes is so exciting! Proper rotation and strategic decisions are rewarded greatly.

For the losing team, the game will be closing out more satisfyingly. Meaning, you'll be given a couple of chances on catching bounties or landing a good teamfight, but if you fail to do this before the enemy can end you, you lose! I enjoy that as well, there will be no dead time because you always have to chase people down.

I've played a lot of games in preseason, like 30 ranked and probably 50 normals by now, and even after the first game after the new patch I asked myself... How was LoL even fun before this patch?! The new added depths of strategy regarding macro is amazing! I absolutely love it.

I play in 2000 mmr (plat1/d5) on Ranked, and ranging between 1800 (mid plat) to 2200 (d2-d1) in normals. I can see why preseason would be annoying to someone that doesn't use strategy, because the game is a lot about strategy and without it there isn't a point. Yes, even Dark Harvest is strategy. Just take advantage of the fact that Flex runes can give you armor/mr now, and don't get low HP for free. Do I think that Riot should lower the %threshhold of when you can proc Dark Harvest? Maybe, but I also think that people are really not even trying to adapt around the meta. Instead of trying out different things and strategies on how to overcome issues, you just go boards and complain about it. Stop doing that! The game shouldn't adapt around your flaws and your inability to think logically because you're tilting in-game instead of focusing on taking something away from it. The game should adapt around what's naturally healthy or unhealthy, and that's only to be discovered if you actually give it a 100 games trying to beat it. I think if everyone planned ahead in games, used plan, utilized proper rotations, etc, there wouldn't be these 80 guys that stick around boards to downvote/upvote every single post negative/pos about preseason. Anyway, that's not really the topic, I just wanted to let Riot know that this preseason has been a huge success in my eyes and I'm absolutely stunned with how amazingly fun this game is now! :)

What strategy, lol?

The game has been dumbed down throughout the years and there's close to 0 strategy in the game left, nor macro play - it's Riot push for fast, constant fighting/coin-flip centrered, 20 min games for quick fixes similar to shitty mobile games and to be able to compete with them.

Tower plating is free gold for the already winning laner and making the jungler to camp or outright do 1vs2 on one lane getting ~1000 free gold for nothing, it's clown fiesta everyone chasing for kills, topped up by a race of who does the more multi DH procs on someone which outright decides tf outcomes.

Wtf are talking about at all?

You're playing at d5 elo as supp being carried by your higher elo premade adc and thinking you're the sht, don't be so delusional.

It might be fun for you, aram is fun too for some btw - it doesnt mean the game's in good state.

I really like preseason too.... i dont get the hate at all its way better than season 8

couple of things id like to see though Tanks being viable ... they should be these hard to kill champions with low damage thats their thing but in th epast when theyre meta theyve been hard to kill and deal damage but this is what our current divers are doing with added mobility

Id also like to see enchanters more viable over these AP supports Brand and zyra please ;-;

I am also enjoying preseason. Riot set out to make changes that made defensive structures more formidable while preventing teams stalling out games and I thought they did a great job of reaching those goals. It's far less common to get turret dove and watch the enemy walk away. Turret diving now requires perfect execution or you're punished for it. It also doesn't feel like super minions are impossible to stop anymore but you're still forced to react quickly if you don't want to lose your base.

Not saying everything is perfect but you can tell things are better than Season 8. People need to recognize Riot for the changes they did implement instead of just blinding bashing cause it's the popular thing to do on the boards.

The comback mechanics added into the game along with the extra durability I get in lane really have every game feeling close and fresh !

Alot of great changes by riot in pre season so far.
