What about adding a ping for signaling a WARDED area?

Some guys have said it before, but I think a ping that signals that something is warded would be great.

I don't use the chat because there's too much negativity in it, so I communicate by pings. It's really hard to mark that something is warded though, and junglers often waste their time trying to gank a lane because I fail to signal that the path they're taking is warded. I think even just typing "warded" takes time, so the ping would help.

The ping wouldn't have to be along with the 4 others, with the "wheel" you can choose them from. It could be assigned to a different key, because everyone's muscle memory is used to 4 pings on the wheel and not 5.

Also I think a "warded" ping could be useful because it would also time the ward in chat, like "[00:20]: X singals that this place has been warded", then you would know that it will expire in 60 seconds if it's a trinket, or 3 if it's a sightstone ward.

TL;DR: A new ping for marking that a place has been warded. Could be assigned to an unused key. Would be useful for timing wards, if the ping would leave a message behind in chat with a time.

Honestly they should just remove the red ping. Do people even use that? More often than not I see anyone warning somebody about an impending gank use the "Fall Back" ping.

It's true. Got any thoughts on the warding ping as well? ^^

Well they should just replace the red ping with it. I don't understand why there are two ways to convey the same type of information with pings when there should just be 4 different information types to get across with it

There a few times I use the danger and care ping for different reasons. For example when I spot an enemy approaching my team I will use the danger ping if I want them to fall back or the careful ping if I just want them to be aware, but it would probably be fine if they replace the red ping. But I think the ward ping should be be the one unbound to the wheel in that case.

Personally, I use Danger pings to indicate the enemy jungler (or roaming laner)'s current location.

Yellow Ping -> "Back up" Red Ping -> "Danger here"

I use the red ping to either mean "incoming enemies", "don't go there", or "STOP FARMING AND RUN!"

I use the red ping because I'm use to pressing C and just sliding my mouse. That and I like using one button for all purposes.

Also, if I remember correctly, Ward pings were an idea on the PBE 2-3 years back. Not sure why they didn't implement it since saying what is and isn't warded is a pain in the ass. Especially when I'm Support down a Bot lane trying to harass and trade.

IKR, I'm a support as well and signalling that something is warded would be a buff to us! :D

how about voice chat?

Judging by how people chat, I wouldn't want to hear their squeeky voices scream their 'feedback' in my ear. >_<
