Any love for Lissandra coming soon?

Ive tried making her work in the past and currently I feel most other mages do what she does but just...better. Short range spells make it seem as if she wants to be close range like Swain but after you Root and maybe Q someone, you don't have much left. Her passive should make mana not be as much an issue but Xeraths does the same thing only better. With all the cc she has, (Slow, Root, Stun) I would like to think I understand why her numbers are so much lower then other mages on the damage front. But why would a Close quarters Mage engage a fight if she couldn't finish it? Her E is unique in how it can teleport, juke etc but Its so slow from start up to reasonable distance that anything can happen in that time. Leblanc's is damn near instant and can even go back to her original spot. Maybe its the thematic idea of Ice Quest from another time but I just dont think her spells live up to it, and the ones that do dont do a good enough job. Thoughts?

They have already said they are reworking her passive, and just recently gave her buffs. So yes I would say they are looking at her.

Lissandra's issues concern lack of damage and lack of scaling. I was happy to see her Q cost reduction and R cooldown reduction in the latest patch. With that being said, these aren't the issues. It was reported that they were giving her a new passive that would in turn give her more damage on movement impaired champions. This is a more permanent fix and what she needs. The latest buffs just seem like a blatant attempt to appease Liss players while they figure out the rest. Lissandra can be a fairly solid premade team pick with her utility and kit. She just doesn't really have the solo que carry potential. After mid game it just feels like everyone outscales you no matter what. And I am bit surprised when I hear people keep saying "She counters assasins". I am looking at the matchup charts and some such as Zed and Talon seem to be beating her handily. Overall I am a Vladimir main but really enjoy having her as a pocket pick. And lately I keep trying to make her work in Solo Que to the detriment of my team unfortunately...

I'm waiting for RIot to buff her tbh. If they buff her and she becomes meta everyone will go full "she's cancer omg" mode, especially top laners since top lane Liss was truly cancer. After that happens people will probably shut up about her. What she needs is a rework, a small one or a bigger one, either way she needs one. That's what she needs to be good cause whenever she's good she's oppressive.

She needs one or more of the following:

  1. more spammable abilities - so she can actually finish off kills when she goes in - none of this burst someone for half their hp at best and then stand there looking dumb and hoping they don't kill you
  2. more range - she needs to be way too close for how long of cd her spells are and how little damage they do; give her at least lux level range with her initial part of the q - not counting the bonus range it can get for hitting a target.
  3. more survivability - if you keep her so short ranged, convert some of her damage into either spell vamp (like an ap version of kayn) or a shield (like morde). Otherwise she's just too squishy with too low of burst damage and too long of cd spells to duel other ranged champs and melee assassins properly. She can still abuse melee toplaners, but that's about it.
  4. amp damage - lower cd spells if you hit an enemy champ and amp the damage of her next q (stacking 2x) for each q she lands on enemy champ

one or more of the above would go a long way towards making her a more competitive champ, because right now, she just lacks in too many ways to be truly useful. Basically a malzahar with less safety early game and less waveclear I'm pretty sure.

They wont buff her cuz she is probably the best mid vs assassins

At rank 5 Q and one item, your Q cooldown is a little over 2 seconds. Between your W and R, you should be able to get two Qs off in an all-in.

I think the comparison to Xerath is unfair because his spam skill costs 120 mana, not 75. Also, he's an artillery mage who has to aa something to get mana back, and in lane it refunds less than what Liss is spending on a free spell.

I also wish Liss's E started out a bit faster (like Lux W), but the Leblanc comparison isn't helpful. Liss doesn't have to use her E to waveclear ever, and Liss is S-tier at things Leblanc is F-tier at (wave clear, team fight, etc)

It's about time they look into her.

It's taking a Rengar revert, a Leblanc revert, Ahri changes, etc on many better well positioned champions and she has been forgotten for a very long while.

Speaking of forgotten, I wonder when they'll address Kalista too as a champion and not just a minion with an OP Ult I'd rather not have in order for her to be more decent for soloQ.

Well i play Lissandra , i love her kit , she is basically a engage type mage designed for team fighting over solo carrying

You are absolutely right.
