Is Aatrox going to get any love at some point? I used to love this guy but for a long time he's just felt super...lame. I love the idea of Going into battle and thriving in combat but he feels lack luster and empty. Not a theme thing but a mechanic thing. He dies before getting to the fight or if he gets there just pops before being able to react. Melee makes him get close where he's easily kited and dealt with. I remember during his release he was super nice and felt great. What changed? If something did, or if the game evolved to a point where he's irrelevant will he get any changes to help him out? Or should I assume he'll be the next Yorick.

Ryze gets a rework a year while aatrox a patch a year, nuff siad : ^)

Riot aknowledged that he needs some work done, and i do hope it will be soon, like early 2017. I like this guy too, he's my main top pick, but yeah, he feels lackluster.

Part of it comes from his binary nature, he's really feast or famine, he just requires too many stats to be effective. Attack speed, AD, lifesteal, some tankyness and some armpen wouldn't hurt. He suffers from being really squishy when building damage, and deals no damage when built tanky. He's an auto-attack based champion which means he can't rely on his abilities to be relevent. His passive is just a poorly designed guardian angel, which is mostly useless except for those time it can save you from an ignite. He's supposed to be a diver, but his teamfighting plainly sucks, altho if he gets a lead, he can be a really strong duelist or skirmisher.

Sadly until he's getting some love, he'll only work as a splitpusher, and there are other champions who perform better than him at that.

Also his laning phase is kinda bad, his only harass has a long cooldown and costs health. His only saving grace is his sustain, that is if he doesn't get zoned by bullies who can outrade him as he tries to auto-attack minions. If you build tanky to survive the enemy, you still won't win trades, and you'll hurt yourself more than your enemy laner when using your abilities.
