The Problem with Senna

There aren't enough hybrid items in the game, and any hybrid items in the game aren't optimized to her playstyle except maybe Hextech Gunblade.

If you build AD on her, you'll deal a lot of damage but you won't have much healing or shielding. If you build AP on her, you'll have nice heals and shields but won't deal a lot of damage.

I get the idea of a tradeoff, but it makes it very suboptimal in a support role where you don't get much gold, especially when AP supports don't suffer from this tradeoff (Janna, Nami, Yuumi, Lulu). Most ardent supports deal a nice amount of damage while still having huge shields and heals.

Either more hybrid items need to be added to the game, or she needs better ratios.

EDIT: For further clarification, I am aware her heal scales off of AD. The ratio is a joke though, hence me saying "she needs better ratios".

you do realize her heals scale with AD? So she will both heal AND do damage.

I didn't say it didn't, but the AD Ratio on her heal is very low (only 40%). Yes, the AP Ratio is worse, which is also a problem, but AP is a lot easier to come by.

Hence why I said her ratios need to be increased.

Don't take this personally, as I'm not intending it to be a [direct] jab at you, as a person.

But, everything you've just stated gives off the impression that you haven't actually played the champion.

I haven't played her, only against her several times and with her once. I'm an ADC main, so every time I've seen her (except one game where they picked her top for some reason) I've had to put up with her. Even then, I still say she is a very lackluster support.

The Sennas that have built AD against me have, aforementioned, dealt a lot of damage but they weren't providing much healing to the team and the ult shield was laughable, less than a single auto attack. The Sennas that have built AP against me have had good healing and shields, but their damage was laughable.

As an ADC main, Senna is my favorite support to play. Her mist scaling ratio on her ult is indeed laughable, but if you stack effectively, you should have at least 100 by 30 minutes, and dropping a 250-300 HP shield on 4 of your allies while dealing a substantial amount of damage to enemy champion(s) is really what the ult is about.
Sure you can build AP and not make use of your INFINITELY SCALING RANGE but it's much more viable to just focus stacks early and then one burst the caitlyn from outside of her attack range once you have 140 stacks and rapidfire.
She's currently busted. The fact that people even consider building AP is disgusting.
