As in he builds AP and tank items? Doesn't only his E scale with AP?

Sure it works, if you plan on being useless

His only AP scaling is 60% AP on his dash which can't be used on an enemy more than once every 6 seconds at max rank and it's cooldown is not affected by cdr.

His only CC requires he gets q hits off which unless he starts the teamfight with a q knock up or ulting off someone else's knock up is going to be VERY unreliable for actually impacting a fight.

So yes it has the ability to work, but is VERY likely to be useless and you would get so much more benefit from just playing a different champion. 99% of the time you will most likely just end up hurting your team.

NO AP anything Yasuo does not work at all, you do virtually no damage outside of anything of your E, and you would think your tornado would be stronger, but that is also not the case, since it doesn't scale with AP. Besides a static shiv and infinity edge tornado hit is sick, why would you want to give that up!

Yasuo does not benefit from anything cd related either, hence why he is useless on URF mode, so going AP would not only make you attack slower, make it near impossible to get any crit, which is his bread and butter, sooooo No, do not try it, let other who have tell you before you anger some team mates xD.
