Yasuo's Windwall

I play yasuo a lot and have wondered why yasuo's windwall (w) is something like braum's wall or like yasuo windwall isnt like a 1 block ability (blocks one spell then poofs or blocks one spell then poofs and auto attacks weaken the windwall).
