Why not have it so you can gift champion shards or skin shards. I have been and seen people who have shards that they cant use because they already have what they got. Then why no be able to gift someone a shard or make it like a trade.

That sort of would be an abusive process. RIOT would be better off if they allowed people to gift their friends Hextech Keys and Chests.
