How do I fight Riven?

4 dashes, 2 CC (both aoe), a massive shield that scales with AD?? An ultimate that gives her like 30 AD lv 6, not to mention it's RANGED in a MASSIVE CONE. She can faceroll Q, AA x 3 then W and run away like a little bitch until she can kill you. Then snowballs off the 1 kill she gets.

Ask Hashinshin, he'll tell you all about how a 44% win rate champ is ruining league. But srsly riven is weak af, champions like her are good at one thing, punishing you for wasting a CD or overextending. They have no real raw power, only the potential to outplay your mistakes. You would need to say what champion you're playing or at least what type for better specifics on matchups, but typically you dont want to give her an opening that she can get on you with her Q's while still having her W and E up to get away, without having a CD up to chase so she cant take the trade for free. Riven is only going to wittle you down then all in you when you're low enough that she knows her combo can kill you. Before she has 40% cdr her CD's are to long for extended fights.

Examples of how you fk up vs riven are if you were something like darius, and you try to poke with your Q while her CD's are up. You just wasted your biggest damage CD, and she can use her dashes to get in, win trade, and get out before your Q comes up again. So just be careful with your CD's and positioning around her, and you win.

Build armor. I played malphite last time i was against riven and destroyed her. She countered my champion so i decided to ruin the game for her. I got loads of kills as a tank. A fucking tank solo carries a game. Anyways armor is your best friend.

Dunno why I'm telling you this(I like playing Riven), but ninja tabi first item cucks her early. Also her three Qs are more equal to one dash than 3 by length, and she has to use them on top of you or she's wasting damage. I hate when people are like "Oh Riven has 4 dashes, you can't catch her and she can combo and then dash away like nothing happened" No. She can do one, or the other, she cannot do both unless you are right on top of her and she has no need to E block your damage. Tryndamere has more mobility than Riven, proven by the fact that I've never been able to get away from a Tryndamere despite being Riven, the almighty mobility monster everyone talks about, even if I dodge his slow.

Her Q dashes aren't very far but if she uses Q to get near and you start hurting her she can just turn around and Q twice more. Basically giving you more options than just 1 dash.

If she uses her Q to get near you, she's wasting her damage, and her Q doesn't go where you point it. It goes where Riven is facing. She would have to manually turn to Q behind her. Her Q alone does not do amazing damage(it's 15 base damage rank 1 with a per-rank AD scaling. At rank 1 it's 45%) She has to auto attack you after every Q to make her damage work, and she doesn't have good sustain. 90% of the time Riven will E to get close to you, and then start her combo if you're close enough to her E. She can't back out early game after doing this, she needs a max rank E and some CDR for that. So if she E>combos you at level 3, she's going to need around 6 seconds before she can E back out, most likely, and maybe 8 or 9 seconds on her Q. If she goes in, she's stuck. Late game sure, she can dash every 3 seconds with E, but most top laners don't have skillshot stuns, and the ones that do likely counter her hard. She'll also be using this in teamfights where there's a higher chance for her to get hit. Early game she can't go in and go back out.
