The visual effect for E: Unraveled Earth really triggers my trypophobia. Could you PLEASE do something to change that? I really don't want to have to sit in the tub and scrub myself with a wire brush every time I see her in-game.

This is not a joke, I am 100% dead serious. Please do something about this. If you don't understand, then perhaps checking http://trypophobia.com/ might show some insight. After all, over 90 million people suffer from this, last I checked the numbers.

Summoner's Rift triggers my dendrophobia, please remove all the trees! Also I have ornithophobia, could you just delete Anivia, Quinn and Azir from the game? Etc.

For those curious and unknowing, be aware that the google image search for Trypophobia contains a lot of imagery photoshopped specifically to trigger it.

Trypophobia is a panicked/fear reaction to patterns of holes. Lotus pods and honey combs are examples of things that trigger trypophobes into an unpleasant mental state just by seeing them.

It doesn't have to be literally "holes" either. Most anything in an organized grid of loosely-spherical objects, like Taliyah's stones in this reveal, can set it off.

Perhaps it would help if the stones placed by Unraveled Earth were randomized a bit in layout and size but still formed the same cone-shape?

To clarify and tl;dr Strawberrycocoa's post. Google image search trypophobia = what people with the phobia see and it causes severe anxiety like scratching a chalkboard or squeaking metal for a large screeching noise makes people cringe. When normal people see holes, people can see the distorted google images you see photoshopped. A common one is of a lotus flower seed placement holes.

If these people ever trip on DMT, apparently you will see every pore in your body and probably give yourself an anxiety attack. Not sure if I have it or not. When i stare at the photoshopped images of trypophobia, I feel anxious for sure but not so much when looking at lotus seeds.

There was a study that concluded PTSD could pass onto offspring. Now that wording is very controversial; a person suffering from severe PTSD could have kids and the kid could have some kind of trauma disorder or anxiety disorder without having any severe incident that would cause the trauma itself. If you couple that idea with believing in genetic memory (KIND of like in Assassin's Creed in the sense instinctive behavior is passed on through DNA) then the origins of trypophobia probably came from beehives.

For future reference: Trypophobia is a fear of holes arranged in a patterns, so things like honeycombs or stacked pipes.

Doesn't have to be holes, loosely-spherical objects in the same type of pattern can set it off too. It's the patterning more than the holes themselves that sets trypophobia off.

Phobias are irrational fears. People know they're irrational. There is no cure for phobias. You can take precautions to avoid triggers, have preparations if do happen, however there is no way to fully cure phobias. My friend has entomophobia and I have claustrophobia, the best we can do is avoid bugs and tightly enclosed spaces. Crowded elevators quite literally send me into a panic attack, which is very similar to what happens with people with trypophobia.

If Riot needs to change her E because it triggers a phobia not recognized by medical practitioners (psychiatrists are being included in that), then they need to get rid of all the toxic and trolling ppl because I have an allergy to them.

There are people who are terrified of spiders who would love to see Elise burn. It doesn't mean she needs to be changed. IIRC, Reds have said that uniformity and precise control are things that Taliyah aspires to, and so they seem unlikely to make it a less graceful pattern without a damn good reason.

It's a fear of holes and holes in objects, particularly the human body. It is often triggered by objects that appear hole-like and appear in a very organized pattern. If you google the word you'll find plenty of pictures that would provoke trypophobia.

It's just a research and awareness site detailing the condition and stuff. I, however, do NOT recommend using google image search. It's literally just a cesspool of shock imagery that will fuck with people who don't even have the condition.

No, not at all. There skill holds a lot of detail and color and special particles to it which makes it look more like a bunch of balls rather than holes in the ground.

Seeing Tailyah on live compared to PBE, it seems that Riot's changed the particles to squares instead of circles, and they added in a randomized slew of various distinct shades of browns. Thanks, guys! It looks much more visually appealing now.
