As soon as I get to Honor 3...

As long as it took me to get honor 3, literally 2 days before the end of the season of nonstop playing, I had come to see that with the canned responses that the only thing that mattered with this system was getting reported slows down your progress. Kind of BS, since even if you get honored, being reported in that same game will basically negate any progress to leveling up, even though I've never had any kind of punishment or even a warning against my account before, and I've been playing every season since the patch that Sejuani was released.

Though, today, I log in to a chat restriction on my account. This knocks me down to honor 1, and I'm fucking livid.

So, like, what's so punishment-worthy about this? It's honestly making me form the habit of entering every game with "/mute all" and "/pingmute all" the moment I load in because fuck this.

There's a much better way to word this that's probably less negative. I'm not sure exactly what your intent was to say here, but it could've been worded in a less accusatory way.

This comes across as very bossy and rude towards your teammates. If they get a kill on accident, or even on purpose, that is fine. There is no "ownership" of kills in League of Legends, and "kill stealing" is not a thing. Further, saying you don't care anymore fosters a negative attitude in the game and directly violates the Summoner's Code which states to "Never Give Up".

It sounds like you are blaming your toplane for a failed gank. This is unnecessary - chat is designed for discussion of the future strategy, not blaming people for failures in the game so far.

grow a backbone you're not leading

This is again, very rude towards your teammates and has absolutely no information in it to help someone play better or strategy to win the game.

wtf are you doing

Honestly, anytime someone uses "wtf" it comes across as combative and argumentative. If you have a legitimate question about someone's actions, word it in a neutral way: "why are you in their jungle right now", not "wtf are you doing". Even then, don't spam a neutral version of that statement (not saying you did, just fyi) because that in and of itself could be considered harassment.

This, again, is accusatory and blaming your team. You should not be trying to blame or harass your teammates for poor play or not being where they needed to be. You should try and offer helpful and constructive advice, as well as building up morale so teammates don't feel put down by you.

This type of accusation has no purpose in game other than to inflame the chat and foster a negative environment.

learn to play smart

While your advice after this (the part about not gunning for kills all the time) is okay, simply saying "learn to play smart" certainly appears you are making a veiled insult towards them that they play "dumb". Again, this is not constructive or helpful in any way.

The TLDR version of this is that you tend to get very combative and argumentative in your games - you take a "me against them" attitude instead of a "we are a team, what can we work together to do to win the game" attitude. I would recommend you stop being so combative, argumentative, and accusatory towards your team, and instead focus your chat solely on things that are vital game strategy or information that will help you win the game. Don't talk about the past, focus on the future. And certainly don't try and act like you know more than or are mightier than your teammates.

Except it was something addressed on the forums before they remade it . A red-post response, even, which would be prime source for something being deemed toxic or not. If I were to be "caught" then wouldn't that be the time and place for it? If anything, I'd believe a red post over you, honestly. There was no harassing or berating in my logs. You yourself said I was being passive-aggressive and defending myself, not that I was berating my teammates or harassing them, backed up by me clearly muting people as well. Not exactly the course of action for someone harassing others, is it?

In fact, it's almost as if you're not even paying attention to anything that's being said in this topic. If this is toxic, then where do we draw the line? You claim that Riot isn't out to treat its players like children, yet you're doing exactly that and trying to explain the situation as such.

In hindsight, we can all look at it and say "well, it wasn't that bad". But each of the things I quoted you saying may very well have come across in quite a negative manner to your teammates.

If not only that, the valid and unaddressed points made by not only me, but others in this topic that have gone unanswered are just more examples showing that you have no idea what you're talking about. Most everything you've said can be disregarded as toxic in itself, after all.

I may get downvoted for this but even without context your chat doesn't seem really severe to get you dishonored after 2 bad games.

Then again you are right about the mute all option. It is a very rare occurence where chat with my team has made me smile or helped me win a game.

When I ask my team to do something in chat they do the oposite and it just tilts me and most of the time they just drop passive offensive comments that tilt me to oblivion if I am not doing too well and I regret not muting them at start.

However, don't mute pings unless someone is toxically spamming the warning pings on top of you. (my favorite ping offense being when someone starts pinging my Nashor Tooth on Akali like it's a bad thing because we are losing but my Nashor Tooth is the reason I did 2 times their damage at the end of the game. I really love it when people judge my builds when they know jack shit about Akali.)

So apparently, according to a ticket that I sent in about this, the system glitched and didn't send me all of my chat logs.

In this and in the other cases, I can see that you consistently argued with other players, which did nothing but detract the focus of the chat system from the game at hand. This kind of behavior is definitely not something that we want to consistently see. Instead I encourage you to mute then report negative players at the end of each game, instead of trying to argue with them.

As I believe that this punishment was valid, I cannot grant you your previous honor level.

Wonderful system you got there, Riot. Another "rare occurrence" where things are broken for me, much like the numerous other glitches I've posted and sent tickets about.

Additionally, they said nothing about me being actually toxic, but simply arguing with other players. Apparently arguing is against the rules now?
